Android fail! I've tried this on four different android devices on gingerbread, ice cream sandwich, and kit Kat, and none of them work. This helo only will fly if on an iOS device for me 😖
A little tricky to master This didn't work on my Sony Z1 until I disabled the "Clear Audio" function.
Takes practice but works fine. For those who said the helicopter does not take off, you are flying it in Beginner Mode, and the control won't let you use the full throttle, that is for people that have never piloted one of these RC Helicopters, it is not that easy. Go to setting and put the check mark in Expert option, then you'll be able to use all the engine power. Besides that, I have used the app in an LG G3 and in an Xperia SP, and my only complaint is that the controls in the app dont scale to bigger screens, Everything else, GOOD!
Great but incompatible with beats audio The helicopter is really well made and can fly amazingly with the correct phones! If you have a phone with beats audio enabled on it then there will be issues where the helicopter just won't respond to your device. It works with android devices other than that! My only other issue is the flight time. It's a shame that it only lasts 10 minutes as when mastered, it doesn't take long to flatten.
It doesn't scale. I have a Galaxy Note 4 and the controls are extremely small with the majority of the screen unusable with a grey background. This needs to be fixed asap...
The update broke it. This latest update no longer works with the Samsung Galaxy S3, 4, and 5, as well as the Note 2. I have both the S4 and 5, as well as my S3 that I still keep as a MP3 player. It used to run fine on them all, but it will not work, now. I tried it on my wife's Note 2 and nothing.
Reminder: Most Motorola devices require a change in the device settings to work properly with HELO TC. Be sure to read the dialogues in app prompting you to make this change!
