On the intro app I clicked 'Upgrade to Premium' thinking it would just unlock the extra caches. Instead, it added this app and it still shows me as a basic member. This app doesn't have messages like the intro app and doesn't have the bell go off when you are close. Why 2 different apps for the same idea?

No reason to buy it anymore Groundspeak has stopped upgrading this version. Now the free version does way more. Save your money and just get the intro app.

Not Android friendly Doesn't offer the same features as it does for Apple users. Accuracy is off quite a bit and the GPS tend to follow others in your party.

Needs upgrading Paid for subscription in the free/intro but found a trackable while out and wanted to log it. Bought this app and it was useless.. feel like ive wasted money on something that didn't work.

Used to be good but pricey This used to be one of the top geocaching applications. A bit pricey, but didn't require premium membership unlike most 3rd party applications. For some reason, this app has now completely seized to work, resetting/reinstalling doesn't help. Judging by the update log, it's no longer maintained.

Archive would be nice Was expecting to be able to view a list of those I'd found. Perhaps not workable for when you get into hundreds or thousands. Think it would be good for the person finding to rate the Geocach and have this as a search field to reward those that go the extra mile too. Originality (i.e.effort creating the geocach), condition and fun factor would be suitable in my opinion.

Use free version I downloaded this app so that I log the trackables but you can only visit or drop of trackables that you've already picked up. Any new trackables you cannot log a pick up! Also the app is far much clunky compared to the free version (Geocaching Intro). It's weird you're running your paid and free app off completely different code bases must be maintenance hell!
Love caching not loving this app Paid for this app at beginning of year but Geo Intro (free) is a much easier app to use. Why don't I have access to puzzle/multi caches in free version like I do in this version? This app is fine just the constant need to refresh app to find nearby caches is tedious, often open free app look for nearby then come back to this app to log them or view puzzle/multi info.
What? Seems odd that the free version loads more caches than the paid version which is kind of a pain. Can yon add a proximity slider? Say 1-200+km radius. I find myself chopping between apps for different reasons which seems a little ridiculous after spending $13.50NZD. Saying that, I assume this app is somewhat new and updates are on the way... at that price I am sure you have a professional developer on your books. 4 stars because of the above assumption and because all in all I am hooked!
Used to be great When I first downloaded this app I LOVED it! It was miles ahead of the free app, and super reliable. I really wish this was still the case; I feel a little shortchanged here Groundspeak. 100,000 people have downloaded this app on Android alone, and at around $10 a pop, thats $1,000,000. The least you could do with all that money is to send an update our way every once in a while. I bought this app because I believe in Geocaching and want to support the guys who make it possible. Now, not so much.
I don't know what people on here are complaining about. Works pretty well for me. Accuracy is good as well. I just started to use the Offline caches option and that was a success as well! I use this app when I am doing solo caching. Then when I'm with a bigger group I just go along with them since they have their GPS's already handy. It's a win win situation for me. Like a previous person mentioned, this app keeps on improving so it just keeps getting better and better! Happy caching!
Wow. The 7 Jan. '14 update... finally got rid of the silly compass calibration (that didn't work in the first place). They even made navigation clearer. (But most of the UI is still silly. But however clumsy getting to it is, the feature to load MY GPX files is more useful to me than any other app I've found.) It still needs to be able to export (in bulk) to a GPX file. (Interfacing to my GPSr would be awesome.) The search engine could be a little speedier in figuring out that there's insufficient network coverage. Note to another poster: You're doing real good if you're getting 13 feet accuracy.
Not as good as free version The free version offers a better interface, however it purposely won't list some caches. This paid version shows all the caches but the map is worse and the compass does not even work. I wish the paid version was the same app as the free version but just opened up hidden caches. So simple, so why can't it be? $10 is a lot too for an app!!!
Paid vs free Pros: This is easy to use. I like the way you can access the navigation and compass better in this one. It's a little easier to understand and find features. Cons: Why is there no message center in this one? Or a way to view profiles or access the Web site? The save offline list feature/pocket quiries is nice but difficult to use. The free version seems more like a mobile version of the website than this one. Please update this. We paid for it and deserve better.
Intro app is better than this one. This is a waste of money. The intro and free app is so much better than this. It looks nicer, loads caches faster and in a wider area, and has a much nicer interface. Really wish I could get a refund for the money I spent because I will just be using the free one from now on. So annoying.
.........seriously? Yes, it does do the basic stuff. But it is one hell of a crime for the free version app to have a much more superior interface and design than the so called 'upgraded' version (£7.99 is expensive for an app in it's own case). The map is really bad comapred to the free version! While I realise that this version was put out much more eariler than the free version that really is no excuse. If you improve the format of the app then I will (as I'm sure many others will as well) definetly give this 5 stars.
I've had this app for 3.5 yrs. Quit meddling with a good thing! This is ridiculous! There is no reason why I should have to use 2 different apps to get all the features offered. I need the free one to access my GC account, use the message feature etc. Then I need the paid app for offline use and pocket queries?! Screw that, if you want to sell a premium version, it should do everything. Plus, the user interface on the free app is actually better! So how about some real updates to the premium app, instead of just changing the name and logo over, and over, and over again!
Good, but still needs improvements Need to include the trackable logging feature like the free app. Good app for $10, but I want my money's worth- give the loyal customers the upgrades before the masses. If you aren't going to update this, let us know. Can't switch between two waypoints at the same location.
Free App works better How is it possible that the free "intro" app has a better user interface than this version that just cost me $13.? How is it possible I can access my messages in the free app but not this one?. Why does this app not load all caches like the free app? Why am I having to refresh the map every few seconds?and the list goes on...... Listen to the people, hear what they want, I'm not the first to say this!. With these problems sorted out I would absolutely rate it 5 stars, but until then it's abysmal....
Could use a few more features. The only way I've figured out how to pull up a map of my found caches is a pocket query through the website. Then, it's available in the app. No profile options except for on the site. The cache size could be more descriptive, if not in the details pop-up from the map maybe after selecting the cache. The pop-ups are convenient though. Haven't seen an app that allowed you to navigate through a map full of cache details so quickly. Options to start or own a cache would be nice. Solid though.
