Need a photo booth at your event? There is an app for that!
Party PhotoBooth is designed for birthday parties, weddings and any events where your guests are encouraged to act goofy on camera. As the party host, you will be able to transform your phone or tablet into a photo booth by following this Instructable: http://www.instructables.com/id/5-minute-Photo-Booth/
The unique Kiosk mode feature keeps the app running in foreground, so the device will remain as a photo booth for the duration of your event. You can fix your tablet on a tripod, or have guests pass around this mobile photo booth, without worrying about the app being closed.

Even if you are hosting in a cave without network connectivity, the app will schedule retries to get your photo strips delivered once a connection becomes available. You can trust Party PhotoBooth :)

I used this app for my DIY wedding photo booth, and it worked out perfectly! I was nervous at first that the app would shut off, or the photos would take up too much space on my tablet (and stop saving), but none of those problems happened. In fact, all of my guests shared how much fun they had using the photo booth and how easy it was to navigate the app!! I bought an external photo lamp to add extra light (recommend this), and hooked up my tablet to a tripod & $8 tablet tripod connector. You also don't need wifi to use the app and save the photos to your tablet, which is a great feature. With the extra light, all of the photos looked awesome!!! Would recommend this to any friend.

Great app and glad I found it I would really love it if there would be an automatic mode for tear facing cameras... I've prototyped the both build with a larger screen, Bluetooth, and a Chromecast so the user can see themselves, now I just want higher quality photos vs VGA from my front facing camera on my old phone. Just add the ability to select which camera and if I could give 10 stars, I would... or donate to the cause. Let me know!

It's a good app. What stops me from giving it 5 stars is the lack of an option for Automatic self serve with back facing camera. Phones and tablets have better bacl facing cameras and when linking ypur device to a tv you dont need to view the sevice as the display will be on the tv. Please add Automatic Self Serve with Back Facing Camera. Also, the lack of an option to save to sd card.

I like that it's easy to take photos with the app. I don't like that I can't get it to upload my photos to my Facebook page. It connects to my pages and I'm able to choose which album I want it to post to, then I complete the photo taking process and nothing gets uploaded to Facebook. I tried connecting it to my dropbox as an alternative, and it says "Unable to Link Dropbox" even after I accept the permissions. I really want this to work!

Paid for less features Paid for this thinking it would provide more options than the free app by the same company. I was disappointed to find the features were less versatile though. 1) You can't send pictures via Bluetooth (sucks if you have a Bluetooth printer). The free app allows for this. 2) The count down timer on the free app also is superior.

Cloud printing causes an error every time I try to use it. It would be better if I could use HP print service to print the photos. The way it is now its completely useless to try and print any photos taken with the app

Waste of money This apps does not work well with cannon Selphy. Totally disappointed when doesn't give an option to print at the end. Google cloud isn't compatible for Canon selphy. If you have such printer, do not purchase this app. We Never even use it for any event, more stressful figuring out how to print. We had better luck with free app from IOS and apple devices.
Worked well I used this app at a baby shower and the other guests really seemed to like it! The only thing that went wrong was that a guest was trying to hit the camera button, but must have swiped up from the bottom of the screen and exposed the menu/hit the switch app button even though the app was in the PIN lock mode. It did pop back to the photo booth pretty quickly, though.

Yea it will always come back immediately unless you turn off the phone. That's the best we can do with Kiosk mode on Android :) Purchased the full version, then seemed less usable. Cant get it to send photos to facebook or dropbox or Google cloud except for a few exceptions.. yet I see the albums. I cant find them in the device album. Unable to resize the 3 I did find (1 on device/2 on fb) out of dozens Ive taken to fit the size of a photobooth strip.. or so that Ican print 2 on a 4x6 photo paper. IF I could find them, Id give the app a 4 based on the 3 that actuslly saved.
I absolutely love this app when it works. It use automatically upload film strips to a Facebook page I made especially for it. It stopped uploaded so until it gets fixed completely worthless. I really do hope it gets fixed someday.
Great but... I was wondering is it possible to have the photos save to your device rather than go straight to Facebook etc? If not, this would be a massive improvement.
Great! Love that it can now upload pics to a Facebook page album. Now if we can get custom backgrounds, fonts or font colors, this app will be beyond PERFECT! I would even pay for background packs if they were available. Or maybe having the ability to upload our own background would be awesome.
I like it all except cannot get it to save to the Facebook folder I want. Says "null null unnamed folder". This is frustrating. Great pictures and easy to keep on screen.
Add more choices This app would be awesome if we could download a theme to the finish layout picture and we could change the font and color of the text too. Plz give us more fun things to do with this app.
Only useful to me if it posts to Facebook. Linked account, selected photo gallery, and then used as directed but app does not post to Facebook.
Flash Neither front or rear facing seems to allow for a flash option, is that correct? Otherwise great except the ability to custom font and backgrounds

Hey Tanya, those are pretty much the top feature requests you listed :) Sorry I just haven't found time to get to them yet: https://github.com/groundupworks/flying-photo-booth/issues I've did some tests and after start the counting at the last pictures, the appliation is bloked. I am not sure If I can ise this on the full event.
The app was great until it was not able to connect to Dropbox anymore. I had everything all setup for a party then when Dropbox updated their platform this app no longer worked with it anymore.
Good but...... Why can't the fonts be customized. Very few options to beautify the print out
Picture is blurry when I choose photography mode. Is there a fix?
Since Dropbox is no longer an option, can you partner with Google drive for file saving there?
great app great app, would gladly pay for update with themes and more layout options. Definitely need ability to include hashtag or message when auto uploading.
WHAT THE HELL?!? I paid and downloaded this app and it loaded it onto every other device except MY LAPTOP. #RIPPEDOFF

This is an Android app distributed through the Google Play store for Android devices. How can it be downloaded onto your laptop? this a is good but i think ill give 3 stars for because users cannot have a custom background and custom placement of pictures...
good but we need more backgrounds can you make the photos save in the smartphone too? tnx

They do save on the phone always File size is pretty small and quality is poor when reposted. Kind of a fun little app otherwise.
Awesome but some suggestions This is a great product and we're using it at a birthday this weekend. I was wondering if there was a way to jazz up the title options (maybe additional fonts or colors)? If you have recommendations on printers as well that would be great. For not we're directing people via the dropbox location. Crossing fingers & hoping it's a quick update that can be done by friday =p
Best I've found so far for self service booths Works well on my Samsung tablet paired with canon selphy printer but would be perfect if layout option of two identical strips of 3 frames on one 4x6 paper was available. No matter how I format my printer settings it still prints as individual documents and wont double up on one page. wasteful printing layouts as is. The 4 frame square for instagram is nice though.
Better than most but not what it could be Two things I wish this app could do: let the person enter their email or cell so the pics could be automatically sent to them AND I wish you only had to hit the trigger button once for the four shot option. Why is there even a countdown if I have to hit the button before each photo?
Thought the themes would apply to the strip. Plain white background only. Facebook integration is nice but it would be better if guests could share the images to their Facebook from the app. I know some ipad apps that can do it, not sure if it's a limitation of the app or android in general. Otherwise, it's nice and it means I don't have to man the camera lol.
Won't focus on S6 The image starts in focus then when I press the button it is then unfocused by he program and takes an unfocused shot. What can I do? It works on my tablet (starts out blurry then focuses when I press button) but I want to use my phone with it. So 5 star for tablet and 1 for phone.
Great! Love that it auto adds to a FB photo album and prints all at once. I wish I could customize the print so that I could have two printed on one larger page but because of the FB upload at the same time it isn't super necessary to have the duplicate. One other thing is -- what size can the logo be? It seems like it is sized for the strip width and doesn't take up the screen for the 2x2 grid. The locked screen is awesome as I was afraid people may close it out and play around with other things
Its ok, some issues, wont use I got this to use at an event thinking it would lock people out from the rest of the apps and such. I put in a password and was still able to access my email, other apps and system settings. Would like to see an update that hids all options to leave the photo booth app. I am also unable to select the "tell guest where to find their photos" option.....

Hey the only way that may happen is if they turn off the device and back on. Otherwise the app goes back to foreground by itself within seconds of pressing the Home key. However if you had a lock screen and set the device to lock on power button, both cases can be prevented. Give that a try? Background Great app but it really needs some backgrounds and font customizations. Right now the strip looks pretty bland when printed on 4x6 photo paper. It would also be nice to have sizing and location control of the logo and title. Otherwise it's a great app for parties.

Fonts is on the to-do list! Neat little app. Runs smoothly on ACER All-in-One Touchscreen PC (DA220HQL). I wish there are font and background customisation options though (thus the 4 star). Because theming is nearly impossible, I cheated with a custom logo of the event name in fancy font.
If I close out of the app it just keeps opening back up. I can't do anything else. I have to restart my phone to get out of the app. Super annoying! Bummer cuz it's a great app.

Long-press top right corner to exit Kiosk mode. Instructions are in the app. Nice start but lacks fundamental print support ONLY prints to Google's Cloud Print service which requires your tablet have an active Internet connection and worse that your printer support Googles Cloud Print. This limits where you can use the app and what printer you must purchase. Photo Booth at a tailgate party? Not so fast... your printer needs Internet too. Sure I can hotspot and pay data charges twice for print jobs sent to Google and back to my printer, yay. I dont understand why I can't use the same local printers as ALL MY OTHER APPS DO? Also a key print format is missing, 1 print with 2 or 3 copies of the same strip all side-by-side, so each person can have a small copy by cutting the print into strips. This is a nice-to-have and I wouldn't blame the author if they did in-app purchase for formats and themes (developers need to eat too). Overall the app is basic in a good way. I especially like how Kiosk was implemented and I think this will be a serious Photo Booth app as it matures. Keep up the good effort but also consider broader usage scenarios and be open to feedback please.
Definitely the best app for Android! BUT, the themes need way better in-app explanation. I didn't want my photo-strips to have the colored stripes, so I chose the "Vintage" or "Minimalist" theme, since that appeared in-app as just a white background. Little did I know, this would also apply a B&W or sepia filter to all the photos!
