Works pretty well. Not a fan of how some restaurants will game the system. Have to have 15 for the order but sells everything to come up to 14.99. Forcing you to buy extra food that you wouldn't have otherwise. Leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I usually just avoid the ones that do that though.
I have been a loyal user of GrubHub for years. Never had an issue, but today has proven how incompetent their service and drive team has become. Ordered four hours a go from a restaurant about half a mile away from me. The restaurant called 15 mins after my estimated delivery time telling me no driver was ever assign to my delivery. I called the customer service service, they apologized, told me a driver was assigned, and promised me a promo coupon. An hour after that, still no driver assigned. Apparently other orders went through just fine. Called customer service again and just canceled. I don't understand why GrubHub found it necessary to lie about how their "driver team has been incredibly backed up." When other orders were placed, picked up, and delivered in a timely manner. I am incredibly disappointed in the sheer incompetence of GrubHub, their customer service team, and their driver team. I expect your customer service team to refund me.
The drivers are great, and so is the food. What isn't so great, is their customer service. My order was ready at 3:57 p.m., my driver called me at 4:40 informing me that he had clocked in at 4:30 and had just received my order for pick up. Called customer care and all they would offer was $7 off my NEXT order with no fix to this one. Mind you, my order sat there for an hour before the driver arrived. Luckily, the restaurant was kind enough to remake it when the driver explained the circumstances.
I was charged for food that never showed up. The Grubhub team didn't even respond when I contacted them multiple times over a 3 day period. Where is the customer service? I can even say it's bad...its non-existent!
Really use this app a lot! I love the convenience of ordering directly to the restaurant, the variety of restaurants on their app, and ease of payment and tipping. It's a no-brainer. We have a great sushi bar near by, but it's winter (I don't wanna go out if I don't have too) . Hello GrubHub!
Used to love this app until the delivery driver didn't leave my food (even though he didn't knock ) and grub hub refused to give me a refund until I called the police. Marla in customer service is rude, but the officer spoke to Kim in management who finally credited me 50.00 back for the food I didn't get. Really disenchanted with them right now.
Now you can place a preorder directly from one of your favorited restaurants. You can also change the order type, address, or time from a restaurant menu screen, rather than having to backtrack. Time/headache saver.
We’ve improved “Past Orders” to be more specific, so you can find that one meal from that one place you had that one time much easier.
