In a world of fake news The Guardian is an oasis of objective truth and rational thought. The app itself works well on my iPhone and Galaxy tab. The ads are unobtrussive anyway, but you should definitely support their excellent journalism by becoming a member.
The Guardian has many stories and many articles. It takes a bit of digging to get past the typical headlines and find the less ubiquitous news, but The Guardian provides a lot of good information. It has basically replaced my Sunday reading of the New York Times, since I don't have time for this and the Times. This app is worth trying.
I have downloaded many news apps to enjoy the news, however this is the only app that sends countless numbers of junk mail to you email address do beware... and this app will not allow you to open it without first giving them your email so they force your email out of you and then they send you countless numbers of emails.. I receive so far a minimum of 10 a day it gets old really fast
The Guardian (print version) used to be so fomulaicly leftist and America-hating I gave up reading it. Its reporting these days is much more balanced, it has terrific features, and the Guardian app functions extremely well. I am quite happy to have tried it out.
I disagree with almost everything written in the Guardian but even so each article makes me think and helps to refine my views. I find the comments sections absorbing and the views expressed often thoughtful - though there are many way-out leftist/pc bigots as well.
I believe that in the long term, remaining in a bubble can't be healthy but (my goodness) the news in here prevents me from jumping under a brexit-labelled bus on a daily basis. Is that good or bad? You decide.
Don't get swayed, read news facts to have your own opinion on important issues.
