RESTORE THE CUSTOMISABLE HOME PAGE! Great content, but the app just gets gets worse and worse. Down to one star, IMO. Whose idea was it to remove the best feature of the app - a customisable homepage? It was such a pleasure to open the app every morning and scroll down seeing all the stuff that I was interested in. Now, there's just stuff irrelevant to me and I often can't find and end up missing stuff I want. I used to subscribe, but now it's not worth it. I hardly even open the app now.

Long time supporter here. This used to be a great app. After a recent overhaul, the app seriously went down hill. Previous home page preferences went out the window, and after I selected new preferences they were automatically wiped and I had to go back to square one. Also, the app used to automatically save articles for offline reading, an amazing feature. Now, none of the download features work (both scheduled and manual downloads). Very frustrating to not be able to use the app offline.

It is one of the most fluid interfaces, with easily readable and concise story links on the main page, quick loading of the full articles and, a nice touch I think, a return to the same spot on main page from which the reader left to see the full article. Nicely done, Guardian, and my compliments to whoever designed and programmed the interface.
