Love home exchange. However the app never recognizes my searches. Even Paris, France. I have to scroll over the world map (if the nap will load, which is rare) and zoom in on the city I want to search. I should be able to type in the city name in the search bar, but it never recognizes any cities. In response to home exchange's response to my review: the cities rarely pop up in autofill. I can type Paris, France and nothing pops up.

Hate GuestofaGuest taking over Homeexchange. So many things don't work properly, and the whole idea of points vs easy/clear balloons is a mess. The points do not reflect the values properly at all. Forcing people to jump through hoops to exchange points that they agreed on is asinine. Starting to charge for points and retaining the $s is sleazy. The whole acquisition is a huge mess. Also, the app keeps on hanging, then kicking me out. Cant translate messages, so have to continuously ask for it

We have been home exhangers for over 20 years. It is our favorite way to travel. It was a bit more intimate when we didn't use points, it was a home for a home, days for days, not value based. I see added benefit of the points now, but creatively, we've done exchanges similar without points. The trust factor gets skewed with points, as many travelers seem to only want to spend points. I pray it doesn't become a glorified VRBO or AirBnb, by making points available for the profit of the company.
