It's a simple fun thing to do whenever I got a few minutes. I wish it could track the progress I'm making in my learning the fret board. My response time keeps getting faster and faster. It would be cool to see a graph that could show how I progress over time. An atertaficial intelligence program could create personalized tests for me that would focus on areas that I'm having with. But that's proby asking alot for a free program. All in all, pretty cool little game.
Love it! I learnt the whole fretboard in a couple of weeks with this app just having fun in odd moments. I still do it a few times a week to get my speed up definately the best of the free apps. Only thing I would change is to add an option to mix up flats and sharps. 49 secs is my best time so far ☺
Good practice This is really helping me learn the fretboard once and for all. Some welcome improvements would be to be able to pick a certain part of the fretboard (like first 5 frets), and also an option to practice flats and not just sharps. Maybe sounds could be implemented as well? Overall it's very handy though.
All accidental notes are sharps - there's no training in flats. That is such a weird omission, yet a huge flaw. A guitar player is much more likely to think in terms of Bb than in A#. Otherwise, I'd give it 5 stars.
Solid App It's a solid and easy to use app. As others have mentioned, I would really like to see something for ear training. Another thing would be to add a couple different game variations. For example, find the notes of the Major scale etc.
I understand it's free and all... It spams you. It's a free app, and I get that, but I hate apps that spam you, it just seems shady. I gave your app access to my phone and you take it upon yourselves to send me alerts about things that I have no care for. I visited your site, and if I wanted to pay the 11.00$ a month for a subscription, I'd sign up. Sending me messages from your app only encourages me to uninstall the app.and give it a bad rating.
This update fixes the following bugs:
- Frequent notification that the app has stopped running
- 14th fret "B" note incorrectly identified as "D" note
- Inability to use Back button to exit the app
