To import a V3.0 (decimal cell data and coordinates without characters) CLF file, remove all comment lines, rename it to import.clf and copy it to /sdcard/gmon/ then start import CLF from menu.
You can log GSM or UMTS RX levels into a kml file for Google Earth or a csv file. There are 5 color groups for different levels. These levels can be defined by the user in the settings menue. This file is saved into the gmon folder on the sdcard or external memory. When the log is running, the G-MoN Notification Icon changes color to red. 2G/3G logging does not work when the screen is off!

- Moving in the direction of your cell tower will not always improve reception due to interference effects/local geography.
- Data is crowd sourced - wireless and antenna locations are calculated by triangulation.

Two widgets, one for mobile- and one for WiFi-signalstrength.

I have put special value on the visualization of the WiFi and mobile signal strength. They are normally only divided in weakly, good and excellent. Graphically in the form of mostly "only" three to five bars on the Mobile Radio and three to five "waves" by a WiFi connection.
In my app I differentiate the signal strength in total 14 bars. This will give you a quick visualized and detailed information about how good the signal strength is really.
In addition to the much more sophisticated graphical representation of the signal strength you will see some more interesting information.
In "Mobile Signal":
Network operators, Sim operator, phone type, network type, network strength in dbm and ASU, data state, data activity, country code of the mobile phone, device ID, IP address, roaming state.
In "WiFi signal":
WiFi-Name (SSID), BSSID, MAC address, maximum WiFi speed, IP address, external IP address, net capability, net channel, subnet mask, Gateway IP address, DHCP server address, DNS1 and DNS2 address.

Run this app and leave it running in the background (push the 'home' menu button of your phone instead of the 'back' button.) It will monitor the state of your phone's network connectivity. If you loose internet (3g or wifi), the app will save a record of the event.
Push the 'back' button and you will be given the option to shut down the monitor.

On the app screen the values for serving cellid, level, network technology and neighbor cells are displayed.
The measurements are uploaded automatically when the app is running, data connection is available and you have GPS fix. The measurements are uploaded until the app is closed via Menu - Exit. The measurements are available on the server one hour after upload.
In order to report correctly the cellid the app keeps the screen on while running.
If you press power button and turn the screen off, the app will auto turn screen on and keep keyguard on in order to provide correct measurements
The app has option for auto start on phone boot - in Settings.
This is a network speedtest tool. You can measure uplink and downlink network speed to any website.
Measured speed is to the specific website. It is not maximum speed achievable on the network, unless the radio network part is the bottleneck of the whole path.
If you want to test max speed of your network:
- for UL speed - check Measure max UL speed
- for DL speed - put URL of some bigger file in the URL box
How to use:
Type the URL in the edit box and click [Start]. After 20 second you will have results for uplink and downlink speed.
The app also shows serving CELLID of the mobile network and SSID of the WiFi network
How to use:
1. open the app
2. press Menu - Load Data ( the cell and neighbors files - cellfile.txt or cellfile.clf and neifile.txt should be located in [SDCARD]/G-NetLook/celldata
3. There are two ways to select a cell and visualize its neighbors
- search for cellname
- tap on the middle of cell line to show info window showing cellname and then tap on the info window.

Two types of neighbors are visualized - outgoing and incomung.
- outgoing - they are shown as lines starting from end of the cell line
- incoming - they are shown as lines starting from middle of the cell line
In this way you can check easily if the neighbor relation is reciprocal or only outgoing or incoming.
The color of neighbor line depends on the target cell network type. If it is 2G it is blue, 3G - red and 4G - green.
To open G-NetTrack logfiles press Menu - Load logfile and browse for the text logfile.
With this application you can send SMS with your location information - address and coordinates(Longitude, Latitude) to multiple recipients.
It could be useful when:
- you want to send periodical information about your location to somebody
- cases of emergency
- to find lost phone
- to mark the location of point of an interest sending SMS from there
There are two modes - AUTOMATIC and MANUAL.
In AUTOMATIC you press , type phone numbers of the recipients,type the automatic message text (50 chars max) and define the timer(days:hours:min) and max number of SMS. Then press to save the settings. Then after enabling automatic send the application will send SMS periodically to predefined contacts.
In MANUAL you can type text (50 chars max) and push button and send SMS to predefined list of contacts.
The format of the SMS is:
...Country, City, Street, Number...

The recipient of SMS can click the Google Maps link and see the location or copy Latitude and Longitude values (in this case 42.6563,23.3755) in Google Earth or Google Maps and will find the location of the sender.
The Accuracy of GPS fix can help in determining the reliability of the location.
IMSI and IMEI can provide further information in tracing the sender.
In order to allow application to use GPS set in
Settings> Location and security> Use GPS satellites ON.
In order to save battery GPS is switched on/off when you switch MANUAL SEND on/off.
In AUTOMATIC mode GPS is switched on several minutes before the send of the message.
The maximum length of the SMS depends on the alphabet used. The length varies between 160 and 70 symbols.
The app shows in how many parts the SMS will be sent. Try to keep it one part since your operator may charge additionally for multi part SMS.
Tips and tricks:
Make sure you have good GPS reception before pushing [Send Now] button. The location information that is sent is what you see on the main screen of application. It might be outdated if the GPS reception is not good.
At the start of the application GPS is turned on in order to get recent coordinates. If you want to switch GPS off click MANUAL SEND on and then off.
You can put your phone number at the end of the predefined contact list. In this way if SMS service has some delay you'll know when the SMS has arrived to other recipients.
In AUTOMATIC mode you can postpone sending of an SMS turning AUTO SEND OFF and then ON again. Then the sending cycle will restart.
Notification icon is visible only in AUTOMATIC SEND mode
The initial configuration of AUTO SEND is 1 SMS after 10 minutes to your own number. In order to test it enable AUTO SEND.
It might be useful when you want to be updated on changes of:
- news sites
- forum sites
- blog sites
1. Type the URL of the site in Settings (Click [Edit] to allow editing)
2. Define the timer (in minutes) for automatic check. Then click [Save] to save the settings.
3. Go to Main tab and activate Auto Check
4. The reports show how many elements (also percentage) are added and deleted compared to last check.
You can also check manually clicking the button [Check Now]
Tips and tricks:
- on some of the sites there are regularly changing advertisements so the application will catch those changes
