The included maps were lame, since nothing is labeled and there doesn't seem to be anyway to view them separately from the tour. The audio narration was top notch and was really helpful in giving a heads up about upcoming stops and where to park. Automatic GPS markers worked really well even when there was no data coverage. The app also had different narration, depending on if you were outbound or inbound. Overall well worth the cost.
Was very helpful on our Hana drive yesterday. Loved the history lesson on the way home! Would have missed so much without this app. Definitely worth the few dollars. Does use alot of battery though, so make sure your phone is plugged in for the trip.
This is the most amazing and helpful app I have ever had. I was leary about paying for it but it was worth every cent. Very informative and the narrative is wonderful. Not only does the narrator tell you the best stops along the way but you also get a total history of Hawaii on the way back.
Great app! Very informative. Map not labeled. The actual trip is overrated. Too long of a drive & day is burnt. Some good stops along the way. I guess the road to hana is a scheme to support Hana & its neighbors. Locals are drier than sand paper :). Like I said, the drive is ok 6-7/10(max) but you burn a day, long windy roads. You are wrecked afterwards. Want multiple great drives? Goto New Zealand.
Very helpful as I was driving Road to Hana alone and heard the things to see are not well marked. It was good at prioritizing sites. One complaint is that some audio segments are repeated on the map and seem out of order at times. The extra info overall was worth it.
The guided tour was amazing! So many stops and information about the surroundings that you wouldn't get just driving by. I do have a couple qualms and one suggestion. We had issues playing music from spotify qhile.usimg the tour because they would both come out at the same volume and it wouldn't duck down the music when the tour guide would talk and when we'd open up the spotify app to pause the music the narration would stop... The tour guide would also mention things that sounded cool.but then tell.us not to go which is just evil.and I feel he shouldn't even mention them if they're off limits ya know. As for.the suggestion I would say they should make a winter tour and a summer tour because I'm sure the landscape changes during the seasons because there were numerous waterfalls in December that weren't even mentioned by the narrator. Overall it's a great app/your worth every penny!!
