Habitica is a free habit-building and productivity app that uses retro RPG elements to gamify your tasks and goals.

How it works:
Create an avatar then add tasks, chores, or goals you’d like to work on. When you do something in real life, check it off in the app and receive gold, experience, and items that can be used in-game!

I only use it for habit tracking, not the adventure game components, and it's such a good habit tracker, without ads, that I have used it for almost 2 years, to great effect for my habits. Finally decided to subscribe to support them and even that was a very affordable price. It's nice that the social and gaming component will be there if I ever decide to use it.

Very fun way to reward yourself for staying on track with regular goals. I have a lot of chronic illnesses, and if I manage them well, I'm fully healthy. Managing them well is close to two hours of work daily and fifteen different (mostly small) tasks. This app helps that daily work feel less onerous and reduces the stress of remembering all the little things I have to do

I really love this app! The game functions really motivate me and ive been able to keep track of my habits very well. it really helps to have a reward system. a little glitch though: idk if its an update of some sort, but the food i receive for Pets are now all cakes, and ive been getting the same eggs/hatching potions, so i cant unlock a lot lately. it happened after i accepted a quest, so idk if that has anything to do with it. other than that its been great!

-All widgets have been updated to the latest At A Glance framework
-This should make widgets more responsive than ever
-We've introduced a few new widgets including a Daily progress summary to keep your goals on track, and an avatar widget to add some pixel flair to your home screen
-Widgets will also follow any custom tinting you've selected for your device theme
