Oil Calculator Pro is the Pro version of Calculator for Oil enhanced, the indispensable companion for cargo and bunker surveyors, expeditors, chief officers on oil and gas tankers, and other professionals in the oil and gas industry.
The app uses the ASTM tables / formulas to calculate weights and volumes based on entered density15, density20, relative density or API, observed volume, pressure and temperature, and calculates the following:
- Volume correction factor (to number of decimals of your own choice or as set by ASTM table Version)
- Metric tons (vacuum)
- Metric tons (air)
- GSV (M3 @15)
- BBLS (@60)
Now also contains the export data utility so the user can copy calculator screen data into a database for future reference.
The app contains both ASTM 1980 and ASTM 2004 tables (including updates 2007 and 2009), and users can select which table to use for the calculator in the settings screen. Users can also select whether they want to calculate using SI Metric units or Imperial units.

Precision for VCF, GSV, MTons, LTons and Bbls can be changed using the settings screen. Settings are saved in the app so that when you use the app next time it will calculate with your chosen settings. The precision setting for VCF is also set automatically when the user selects 1980 or 2004 tables, but this can manually be overridden.
Densities can be entered in the following formats which are automatically recognized:

The app can calculate for crude oil, black and white products, lubrication oils and special applications, and input can be changed between density in vacuum at 15 and 20 deg C/ API / relative density / observed density, and degrees Celsius / Fahrenheit by touching the applicable buttons. Also when using 2004 tables, the input of pressure is enabled and can be switched between psi, kPa and Bar.
The user has the choice to calculate using as input observed M3 / M3 at 15 / observed Barrels / Barrels 60 / Metric tons air/Metric tons vac / Ltons / Gallons. All other parameters are then calculated accordingly using the entered temperature, density (and pressure if 2004 version table is used).
The user can also calculate weights of LPG / NGL, using either density @ 15C, relative density @60F, observed density or density @ 20C.
Aside from the conversion screen with conversions between API, observed density, density 15, density 20 and relative density for petroleum products/Crude Oil and Lubrication Oil, there is also a screen with conversions used in LPG / NGL, as well as an LPG density calculator.
For products, lube oils and crude there are two tools for calculating final density when blending two components: one tool that calculates the blend after loading the 2nd component, and another tool that lets the user choose the two components and advises which component to load first, based on density 15C or API 60F and actual temperature of the components. The blending tools also apply volumetric shrinkage as per API MPMS Chapter 12.3

Drilling tool box is a drilling simulator application for smart phones and tablets used for solving drilling problems in an easy and fast way. The application can solve hydraulics problems and design your required mud. For example, it can calculate the number of strokes and time required to fill the hole or the displaced pipes volume. Moreover, it can calculate the volume of cement, number of strokes and time required to set casing in the hole. In addition, it has a built in smart dictionary for explanations about petroleum industry terms. Furthermore, it can design different well control operations and select the suitable one for the case. Moreover, it can design full directional drilling plan and plot the trajectory of the directional well. It can also transpose measured depth to true vertical depth and vise versa. Finally, it can plot equivalent circulation density (ECD) versus depth with fracture density and pore density lines in the same plot for a yield power law drilling fluid .By minimum viscometer data, the rheology model parameters can be determined automatically by the application giving the best fit for the drilling fluid behavior. The plot is sensitive to mud flow rate to see if we have safe over-balanced drilling Operation for that flow rate or not.

The Gas Pipe Sizing Calculator is an extremely easy to use app that will help you to select the right size pipes for installations using copper (up to 108mm), steel (up to 300mm) and PE (up to 315mm) pipes of sections up to 250m (820ft) in length.
To carry out a calculation simply select the gas type, enter the appliance heat input, enter the pipe length, the number of high or low loss fittings (guidance is given in the app), select the type of pipe and then press the 'Calculate' button.
The results will show the total equivalent length, the minimum pipe diameter (metric) that should be used and the pressure drop for that section of pipe.
For multiple appliances each section should be calculated in turn and the kW inputs for the appliances in each section added together for each calculation.
The maximum pressure drop from each appliance to the meter should be no more than 1 mbar for natural gas or 2.5 mbar for butane or propane. Adding all drops together using the minimum pipe diameters may cause this to be exceeded. Where possible, the results will also calculate the drop if the next larger size pipe diameter is selected on a section, this should help to ensure the right sizes are used throughout the whole circuit.
Please note: This app is designed mainly for the UK so supports metric pipe sizes only.

RapidSuite™ ETB mobile app is a series of engineering calculators to assist in the design and execution of a horizontal completion operation with RapidFrac™, RapidStage™, RapidShift™, RapidStart™ Initiator and RapidStart™ Initiator CT systems.
