I used to love the original as a kid, but my god... This is just too much 😵 I know it sounds like many options are good, but you have soooooo many events/upgrades/team games/collectibles, that half of the time in the game is spent on navigating through the different screens to upgrade, and the rest is trying to figure out what the heck is going on. Just let us play the original style without these useless, annoying things no one asked for...

I do enjoy the nostalgia of Metal Slug. However it do well with mobile and monetization mix with it. As of now its glitches, the controls aren't that responsive, and the gameplay is clunky. I feel held back when moving and jumping around. The control aren't smooth and the button configuration are off to me. It should be a little more up beat. There should be an option for auto targeting and shooting. That way you can focus more on jumping and dodging and using skills.

You eventually hit a wall where you gotta either pay for higher gear, do activities you don't want to do, have to be a certain level (then it's difficult to level up), or get completely stuck. Fun while it lasted, but I've played too many games where it gets suddenly quick and then I can't progress because I have to replay the same boring missions, level up once, then rinse and repeat.
