Does it's job. Still some issues Great at extending my battery with phones who's screens are unnecessarily bright. A few issues. While screen filter is on... you can't install apks from your phone( making about apks downloaded to ur phone, not the play store). You have to disable the filter first. Sometimes issues pulling up the keyboard while filter is enabled. The real problem is that you don't actually knows the filter causing the issue.... And you might think ur phone is having a problem. The only other issue is, screen shots are dim
Works great Terrific app. I like the UX style, which is creative and unique. I would suggest adding an alternative way to to select the filter percentage, like a raw number input (I often like going between, say, 30 and 60 percent depending on scenario, and it's annoying to get back to the previous one. Also, people like round numbers). Also, I just donated $5 to Wikimedia with the author in mind (could not find a place to specifically make it on their behalf). Thanks!
Simple Yet Effective Way to Dim Displays With Precise Controls All this app does is apply a black filter that darkens the display. This is perfect for AMOLED displays where the display drains more battery the brighter the display is. The app itself is lightweight, and allows precise percentage controls to control how dark the display will be, which is a big plus for me. The app does catch if you put the darkness level too low and will revert back in time, which is great since putting in too dark values can happen. It's simple, lightweight, and offers fine tuned controls. This is a must for devices that have displays that drain battery based on brightness.
It's great app.Iv been using this for quite long now and I can't imagine using my phone at night without it. Even though shaded light maked non amoled screens look really bad... Additionally recent update makes it flashing with full brighrness when turning on or off some of apps whe soft ley backlight is enabled
No longer works when using apps Used to be 5 stars now the screen only dims light in my home page. When I use any apps and even the lock screen is at normal brightness. It sucks because the light definately affects my circadian rhythm again. When the dimmer worked correctly it helped me get a good night sleep. I will try a new app.
Great! Almost perfect 👌 Works exactly as it says.. Still has that brightness spike when exiting an app using the BACK or HOME button. Haven't noticed it when switching through "recent apps" though.. Also the dark screenshot issue (perhaps make the brightness spike then?) and non-editible widgets. But the SCREENSHOT issue is the most serious I'd say. Other than that, this app saves my eyes and (possibly) my battery, and that makes it freaking awesome! 😉
