Some people here needs to learn... This DOES NOT save battery unless you have an AMOLED display. It does not lower the backlight in LCD screens, it just aply a darkening effect.
This helps save my battery and I like it.I'd like to thank the creates of this and say you have helped me to keep my phone alive away from home!!! I was stuck at a circle k gas station in Augusta and had this app to relie to keep my phone alive...it worked thanks!!! Brian Trapp aka miner77
Favorite utility app. I use this app every day for a multitude of purposes. 1) At night so the screen doesn't kill my retinas checking messages after my eyes have adjusted to dark. 2) In movie theaters so I can still use my phone throughout the movie without bothering anyone. 3) Anytime I need to save battery. Etc. I keep it set at 18%. Only problem is that sometimes the filter doesn't apply to the keyboard, hence 4 stars.
Not really reduce backlight it's true that it make your screen dimmer, but not reduce backlight brighness level, so imho not reduce power consumption. If you enable developer option and check on option "show touches" you'll see that the real backlight brightness is still high
Little bug install On xiaomi mi3 it doesn't detect the app on the running apps once you clean the apps it close and went back to normal light. So it can't not be locket to prevent it
Great app Probably the best screen filter in app store although its dangerous to accidentally adjust your brightness to 0% I removed my battery so I can open my phone again, maybe you should not put 0% there. Just a suggestion but I would appreciate you replying ^_^
