This app, like most Hayward products, is pretty much junk. It has gotten worse over time instead of better. For example, the app used to be able to turn my pool lights on. Now it turns them on for 15 seconds and then they turn back off. If you retry multiple times, eventually they'll turn on. It helps to try turning them on with multiple copies of the app. My app can no longer control the heater. It still works with the controls on the heater, but not the app.

We would love to help you. If you can email us at customerappsupport@hayward.com, we will have someone help, we don't have your contact info. It sound like your Omni has spotty comm router, so the app will have issues you describe. When Omni is controlling your heater, the heater controls should not work.

It is nice to be able to connect anywhere that there is an internet connection to my pool system. The reason it doesn't get five stars is, that on the computer there are plus and minus buttons to change temperature and pump speed on the computer web browser interface, on the phone app there is only a sliding scale, so it is harder to make only minor adjustments to the settings with the phone app.

Poorly Conceived and Horribly Executed I have had the OmniLogic system for 2 years. It is a disaster. The interface at the panel looks like a 7th grade computer science project. It will not stay on-line. I've replace the main board, installed a separate router, and had Hayward tech to my house twice. The recent update to the app makes the interface better, but if you can't connect to the system, it is worthless. I have been in commercial automation for 20+ years and they should be embarrassed.

Glad that you like the new App better. Please email us at customerappsupport@hayward.com and we can get someone to help you get it to connect to your system reliably. From a quick peak, it does not look like your system is connected to our server and you are running on firmware that is 1.5 years old. Omni Firmware upgrade should help.
