Seriously considered subscribing after trial period, due to the awesome TV shows. I got an email today "thanking me" for subscribing. Apparently they auto-subscribe you after the trial period, rather than prompt a decision. I am gonna unsubscribe and delete this. I cannot believe how a company like HBO can be so awful at distributing their service. Their streaming service isn't great, but this scam-tactic to get subscribers is the deal-breaker.
Shows continuously skip forward. It makes watching anything extremely frustrating. I received an email giving me a link to suggestions on how to fix the problem. None of them worked. Considering there are many people on here complaining of the same thing, I'd say it's a problem with the app. I don't seem to have the same issues on my roku.
This would be a great app if it were supported on more TV's. I bought a Samsung smart TV a month ago and it isn't supported by HBO NOW? Why?... I can get any other TV app in the world so why not this one. Oh well, I guess they don't want my money, Netflix it is.
The shows on HBO are great and epic. However the app itself sucks. Try to cast it and it freezes and stutters. Switch back to the phone and it won't start. Close app and restart phone and the app the starts skipping forward. This happened last year with the app and I had hoped by now that this would be fixed. It amazes me that Netflix and Hulu can cast and stream no issue but not HBO.
I just finished my free trial period and had no issues, but now that I've paid my first month to continue watching. It keeps kicking me off and I can even get the app to open, please fix this cuz it's very frustrating.
The price is to high and the steaming service sucks compared to lower priced providers. Get your act together. In the old days this would have been considered a form of vaporware. Your customers are not here to fund your product development.
