A lot of posters don't seem to know how to distinguish between the previous app, their inadequate broadband speed, or both. HBO GO was a problem since HBO tried to roll its own backend. They got smart and contracted with MLB for Advanced Media. Blazing fast, no latency, as good a service as you'll find, and it works transparently with Chromecast. A superior service.
Shows aren't available when they are airing. Why the delay! On Dish you could watch the East Coast broadcasts even earlier than Pacific time. And provide a more stable connection to Chromecast. Flakier than most other streaming apps I use.
You have one job.... Both Android HBO app and Samsung Smart TV have exact issue. Constantly freezes and drops. No other steaming app had this problem. You have one job... It would be interesting to know how much money you have lost from people dropping it due to a glitchy, buggy, freezing, buffering, user experience.
Basic functionality lacking. Does not remember what your location in an episode. Does not keep track of where you are in a series, nor is there the ability to add a series to your watch list. You add episodes to your watch list. These are basics that were figured out by other steaming services many years ago.
Lots of movies and excellent original shows. Would be 5 Stars if you could download movies when you don't have service.
Streaming service is inadequate, Netflix app runs much better, I'd say HBO Now is a convenient app only hindered by poor functionality.
