►PERMISSIONS NEEDED
Location:
HappyCow apps use your device location to find restaurants near your current location. We do not store your device location on our servers.

Photos/Media/Files:
HappyCow apps provide you with a way upload restaurant photos from your existing library on your device. We never access your photos until you choose to view them from within the app.

Camera:
HappyCow app allows you to take photos of your favorite restaurants, which we encourage you to share with our users. The app stores these photos with your other pictures on your device so you may admire them whenever you please, or upload at a later date. We never access your camera or save photos until you perform those actions from within the app.

Ratings and reviews

Easy to use, many filtering options to narrow your searches; I love the option of zooming in on the map and clicking 'redo search in this area'. Also, it is easy to participate. I've added two places and this app is inspiring me to keep looking for more places in my little town, to share with others! Absolutely helpful, thank you for a wonderful app.

Best app for finding local vegan eaterie restaurants, but it's got several long standing bugs that create a lot of friction. First, the call button doesn't do anything, and no phone number is visible. You have to search the internet for a phone number. Second, the website button almost never works, because it tries to use an in-app browser that almost never loads the website. Even when it does load, it has limited functionally to the point of being useless. Fix the call and website buttons!

Works great. One complaint: Non-vegan cafés can be rated with 5 stars even though they aren't vegan. One bug/issue: The 'Tap to search' tag doesn't appear above the pin right after placing the pin on the map, and instead only appears after tapping on the space above the pin. If there's a node of a listining near the pin, that gets chosen instead. This makes it hard to use the feature in map areas that are actively displaying various listings.

Hi! We've updated the "add a review" page to make it simpler than ever to rave about your favorite meals and give feedback when things didn't go well. Also- ads on launch: We know that some people don't like ads, and we understand your concerns. We've tried to keep it as unobtrusive as possible, and we've only added one ad to the startup of the app. We appreciate your support and understanding that we need to add ads in order to keep things growing!
