About this app

Epipal detects seizures and sends immediate alerts to your caregivers and family. No button to press — your phone and Apple Watch work automatically in the background.

When a generalized tonic-clonic (grand mal) seizure is suspected, Epipal sounds an alarm. If not disarmed within your preset time, your emergency contacts are automatically notified — so your family always knows you're safe.

Note: Epipal is designed to detect tonic-clonic (grand mal) seizures, which involve strong rhythmic physical movement. It does not detect focal/partial seizures that occur without significant full-body movement.

SEIZURE DETECTION & CAREGIVER ALERTS

Epipal runs in the background and monitors motion sensors in your phone and watch to detect convulsions and different types of falls (drop seizures). When an emergency is suspected, an alarm triggers — if not disarmed, an automatic alert is sent to your emergency contacts.

MANAGE EPILEPSY TOGETHER

Epipal is your family's companion for managing epilepsy and keeping your loved one safe. Group family and caregivers together to manage epilepsy as a team — stay safe, confident and connected.

SHARED MEDICATION REMINDERS

Stay on top of medications with shared reminders. You and your family can monitor whether medications have been taken. Over time, Epipal helps you understand how effective different treatments are.

COLLABORATIVE SEIZURE JOURNAL

Log seizures and events in a shared journal. Anyone in the Epipal family circle can add entries, triggers, or details — making seizure tracking easy and collaborative.

EMERGENCY BUTTON

Two simple taps sends an instant alert to your entire Epipal family circle if you feel a seizure coming.

Epipal is available for Wear OS.

Setting this app is frustrating, I first tried it on my daughter's phone, but it wouldn't let me subscribe due to her child account, so I set it on my device as a caretaker, got the code to add on her device; the app won't let me go back or do anything other than subscribing to their service, so it's impossible for anyone to add the invite code, even after uninstall and reinstalling the app. UPDATE: I emailed the company no reply for 2 days — 6 mo later no reply.

they will take your money but the app is completely broken. All app to server connection features are broken. Repeated server errors in the app. Seizure sms notification still works as the watch sends a SMS directly but app level notification does not work at all. Disappointed at an expensive, completely broken app that does not deliver.
