ReHand is the new rehabilitation tool for wrist, hand and fingers through the tablet. Being developed by a physical therapist team and under the guidelines of medical professionals from the sector, a number of scientifically validated exercises are implemented through ReHand, achieving an improvement in manual variables such as hand skill or strength, required for an optimal recovery. According to your precision doing the exercises, the corresponding score is generated, which is displayed in a graph for you to know your development.
ReHand’s applications cover different fields:
- Orthopaedic medicine’s field: with ReHand you can work on your hand rehabilitation for different orthopaedic pathologies through specific exercises.
- Geriatrics’ field: the use of ReHand in the elderly achieves a manual dexterity improvement which has an effect on daily basic activities, such as pick up a fork to eat or a brush to brush your hair.
Currently, clinical essays are being carried out in hospitals, health insurance companies and senior residences to complete ReHand’s field of action, in order for it to be a validated scientific tool, not only in the fields previously mentioned but also in the Paediatrics’ field and in Occupational Risks Prevention.
ReHand has won different awards through the University of Seville and IEBS Business School, as well as the Innovation and New Technologies Award from the Chamber of Commerce. Equally, ReHand enjoys the illustrious School of Physical Therapists of Andalusia support.
