Awesome tool for emotional training. Awesome. The biofeedback has improved the quality of my days, hours, minutes and moments. I've become far more stress tolerant. I've learned insights and wisdom about myself I may have never known, ever. I bought the Heartmath Solution book. The effectiveness of app increased 10x with the information, stories and techniques found in the book and elsewhere. Would be a much better app with guided support. Better coherence of the info and sources from Heartmath, presented in coherent ways would make this app so much more effective and help make heart based living viral. What are you guys waiting for? There seems to be some internal competition at Heartmath for providing the most effective and valuable information so it can be accessed within the app or anywhere from one place. It is confusing. I'd pay a monthly fee to have access to this information in a coherent way.
Does what it aims and is far more cost effective for me than the company's other devices. The app is pretty easy to learn and pairs with required device - I've had zero issues with pairing. Data is well displayed and stored in the cloud. The only nit-pick I have is with usability of breath timers/sync: the mandala works well for me but other screens I can't seem to sync my breathing correctly. This is probably me, but some other screens would be more usable if changed.
App works well, but is a little clunky to use due to not adhering to Android app design guidelines. It does work well however. Reminders set in the app don't seem to work well - they just stop reminding after a day or two. I've taken to setting reminders outside the app instead, but it would be nice to have those work. One more thing - when they do work, it would be nice to be able to tap on the notification and have it open the app and clear the notification (currently it does nothing). I don't think the comments here distract from the usefulness of the app, just thought I'd mention those things in the hopes they can be fixed. They're relatively minor but do impact the overall experience. I'm on Android 8.0 on a Pixel 2, if that helps.
The app is a bit dated, doesn't confirm to the Google Material Design guidelines for Android apps, and on a Pixel XL and Pixel 2 XL the Bluetooth connectivity to the sensor is not as reliable as it could be but the app is quite usable. It can't use the phone camera to read the heart rate as it's not accurate enough, which is why the Heartmath Bluetooth sensor is needed.
Love the app! Would be highly appreciated if you could update the Design... I'm using it every day and have seen many benefits in my daily life.
I wish there was a corresponding sound that went with the breathe pacer so i dont have to stare at the screen.
