Love HOS, not so much the app As an all archive subscriber and overall fan of HOS, I find the app frustrating for the slim pickings of shows and the frequent crashing when the phone goes to sleep. Walking the phone tends to lock the app and I have to end the task and start all over. Would go to the web page but, yeah flash...
Good music, OK app The new version seems half decent now, although I have only listened to 2 streams so far with this version. Would also love the ability to "store for later", as I have a very low 250MB monthly plan, and being able to line them up to play later over my wifi connection would be great.
I want to give this app five stars but I have difficulty on turning it on. I get a blank page just about every time I go off the page and try to come back. I have to wait until the app "shuts down" and tell me it did, usually the next day. Love the music though... If I just reboot the phone it works fine. Have to do it anyway when I use square as it turns the volume down (square)
a unique music streaming offer compared to the mainstream music-streaming options HoS is offering a unique selection of slow-down sounds, hard to come by otherwise in this quality. The HoS controller though is complicated and not really user friendly, but works fine if given enough attention. Audio is clean upper-mid-level.
I Like it but The app will not shutdown properly with the back button on my Galaxy Tab 3. The button does what it is supposed to do within the app, but will not exit. Otherwise, I enjoy the app and the music it presents.
Simply Doesn't Work I love HoS. I've loved it for decades ever since I first hear Kitaro's Silk Road broadcast on WGUC in Cincinnati, when I was in Graduate School. Unfortunately, my luck with HoS apps has been uniformly awful. The trend continues. Down loaded the new android app to my new Alcatel Evolve 2 smartphone (Android 4.4 KitKat), crossed my fingers, held my breath, and.... nuthin'. Just a popup saying that HoS has stopped working. Very disappointing. Guess I'll be asking Google Play for a refund on. My 99¢
