I wouldn't expect precision, but this doesn't give even a rough approximation of the right temperature. The unheated garage was at about 60 degrees, but the app showed 65. Not bad, considering that I hadn't yet calibrated it. Took it in the 72 degree house and it showed it as 62. Calibration didn't help at all. Deleted.

The app is a joke as expected. What it does is read the temperature of the phone and that is what it shows. If you were to calibrate you would have to add or substract degrees from the base value but the value indicated will always depend on the phones hardware temperature which can be influenced by apps used, environment or body temperature of the user. If the phone/tablet or whatever device would have had a environmental thermometer it would have came with an app for it. No downloads required

People, use your heads, how can this app know the temperature of your room? Does your phone have a sensor for measuring the temperature of your room? The answer is NO, it doesn't. This developer is a liar. The title is misleading and the description is deceptive. The app's code generates random data, the developer lies to you.
