This app requires technical knowledge about wifi configuration. Most of the negative reviews are from people who have not configured their network correctly for roaming operation. There is a forum on heleron.com which provides help.

You can see a full description of what this app does in the description of the "Wifi Roaming Fix" app. This is a new improved app called "Wifi Roaming Fix", which we recommend you try first as it is more efficient than this one. (In a network of multiple APs set to the same SSID, this app selects the strongest AP).

This app does not switch between networks that have a different SSID, because this is not allowed for in the wifi roaming specifications.

Doesn't work for me. Roaming from the garage to the house is no different. My suggestion would be to add some settings, of some sort. Nothing at all is just that. Something to show signal levels, in color... how does it know when to make a decision to switch? Some messages and prints of something actually happening would be a great start.

Works great on S10 with Android 9. Thank you Heleron. The app is a bit quirky in that it states "unknown ssid" in the notification bar but the app switches my phone between the router, mesh extenders and an AP perfectly. No setup or settings the app just works. Keeping me on the strongest signal at all times (all kit is Netgear Nighthawk - RAX200, R7000, EX8000, waiting for EAX80's to arrive). For me this version works where as the Wifi Roaming Fix version does not pick up my network.

The only app that actually does what is supposed to do. Within 30 seconds the app switched to the better signal in my home.
