When we started Buno (an abbreviation of Bucket Notes), the main purpose was to make note taking simple, beautiful and intuitive. And here we are to redefine that.
Here’s how:
• QUICK NOTES
Capture your everyday thoughts with our simple swipe gesture that makes it super easy to take notes
-Swipe down, take a note and swipe down again to save it.
- Minimal interface to avoid any distractions while taking notes to help you focus on writing
- Clip inspirations, images or even your sketches.
- Organisation is made easy with our systematic bucket technique that helps you categorise thoughts seamlessly. Create a Bucket or save it into “Uncategorised” to move it later on.
- Real-time word count for writers to keep a track of progress.
• SECURITY
Apart from design, our next focus was mainly on security due to the sensitive information a user can save on our app. We took utmost care in developing an advanced encryption system that protects your notes on the server side incase of any unauthorised access.
We also built a clean 4-digit password protection that can be activated from the Settings tab.
• GESTURE
Buno was created with a goal to make buttons redundant so developed a gesture based UI that helps you take notes with just one swipe to start and save your thoughts.
• SEAMLESS SYNC
Buno syncs seamlessly with Android, iOS(coming soon) and Web App(coming soon). Take note on one device and continue editing on another device. Our advanced mechanism syncs notes so quick that you won’t even notice it.
• SHARE, MOVE or DELETE
We love to share what we create so once you swipe left on any note you'll have icons which will help you share your note across different platforms, move to a different Bucket or delete it from the server completely.

Clever use of gestures. The less buttons I have to tap the better in my opinion. Only thing I am missing is simple formatting. Don't have to be overboard, just would like to change font size and maybe have bullets too. Although it would be interesting how they implement formatting while keeping the principle of using less buttons! Keep up the beautiful work, guys!

It has a lot of potential The interface is it's strong point, but it has bugs yet, it crashes continously. Also other features will be great such as size font or fingerprint lock, the images go from edge to edge and that breaks the aesthetic of the simple interface a little, having images perfectly aligned with the text will make this even more beautiful, also a lighter grey color for the status bar will match better, the grey it's too dark and the interface is white so it doesn't look as clean as it should. Great work anyway👍

I love it already 15 minutes after installing, I'm already comfortable with it! The only thing is I wish it were possible to create grocery lists with check boxes or strike-through so that I can check items off. I'm very grateful for the passcode lock feature. Thanks to the developer(s) for that!

Buno is the most intuitive, clean, and natural note app i've yet used, and it is now the only one I maintain. The UI and UX are both original design, and do a beautiful job of everything from allowing pedantic organization to fluidly enabling inspiration to be put to paper. As a creative, Buno is like the dot-grid notebooks i carry with me everywhere; there's loose structure, but not so much that it stands in the way of expression. What the team of developers have accomplished here is remarkable, but I do have some recommendations for future updates. The main one being support for handwriting, which is my only quibble with this still young app. Perhaps the team could also implement a UI element that discreetly allows for bullet or other traditional paragraph units to be quickly and naturally used, allowing a list making experience to be expanded. Buno is one of my favorite apps on the Play store, one which I highly regard and i look forward to future developments and applications from this highly talented team at HelloWorld

Love it I just installed it and I already love this app. Very minimal, very stylish, there is no other app in the playstore like this. For to-do, I use Any.do which is another minimal app. This app pairs well with it. Please do update it regularly and add new features if you can. Thanks. EDIT: After a while, the app crashes at startup. I'm not able to open the app anymore. Very Disappointed.

simply brilliant Been using Buno as my easy-go-to quick note taking app for a while. It's very intuitive, minimalistic to the extreme and has never crashed on me. Sync works great too. For taking quick notes that sync to all my android and iOS devices I've not come across a better app.

Hi Kenneth, we are working hard to developing the next version of the app which will include simple formatting. Currently if you swipe right on a line, it generates a bullet. Give it a try! Thanks a lot Phil. Your support means a lot to us. Minimalism at its best! Aw, could I ask for more? An exemplary example of an amazing note taking application. Have been using it for months now and I m never bored of its simplistic style.
Had a few problems. Major problems, they were but few. As of now, the app is constantly cycling between a white screen and syncing, but the previous experience was simply amazing!
Its best because it's simple I've used quite a lot of note keeping apps on Android and none of them come close to what Buno has to offer. It's distraction free and gets the job done ASAP. The app lock is a highly appreciated method. Suggestion: Add Fingerprint Support to the App Lock. Will make accessing the app lightning fast. Overall, I'd highly recommend this to everyone!
Wow I would like to give 5 stars if it worked on all my Android devices. Crashes too often. Otherwise a great concept.
Great app but needs some more features This is a simple and great app. Transition is smooth from note taking to the home page. Categorising notes is also a really brilliant feature, making it easier to find the notes in one place. However, no to do list attribute or a method of adding bullet points in the text. (These would be great additions to this app within future updates). Edit 1: The swipe right over a sentence to add a bullet point feature looks amazing!

Hey Aliasgar, thanks you so much for the amazing feedback. Currently we are not focusing on to-do feature but we do have bullets. If you type a sentence and swipe right over it, you'll have the bullet points. Hope this helps. Doesn't open App doesn't respond, it gets to sign-up page and get stuck with Google+ sign-up since day 1. Haven't seen the landing page.
Easy to use, simple, clean and efficient. You can just pull down to start taking note and swipe to delete it. The app let you organize your notes into categories and also have passcode feature as well. I would like tagging feature it'd be easier to find related notes.
Brilliant I love swipe down feature make buno different from other notes apps. Bucket list is brilliant. Slightly, fast, stable, I don't find any crash. Adding dark theme would be perfect. I just like simple taking note without 'bullet or number' features. As you put the title : "minimal note-taking app"
Really good I love the option to insert multiple pics everywhere you want, now it only needs a dark theme option and then it's perfect.

Hey Claire, we will soon fulfil that wish of yours. Keep supporting us. It's a beautiful app, but I wish there was better organization, and a way to change font size. I also wish there were a smaller list view, because it's too big imo. Just personal wishes, this is a great app though
Please add feature to delete a note Great app but lacks few regular features. The simplicity adds a lot to making the writing process better but if it had a few regular features it would be great.

Hey Dons, thanks a lot for such an amazing review. We do have a delete feature; kindly go to the note in the folder that it is placed in - swipe left on the note and you'll have an option to share, delete and move the note. Hope this helps! :) Beautiful and Intuitive Awesome work with the UI and the pull down to create/save note feature. Great job! 😃

Hey Valentin, we haven't been able to recreate this problem from our end. But kindly stick tight while we fix this for you. :) Light, fast and delightful note taking app. Would appreciate more contrast. And maybe a slightly unique font. This one's a little passée.
Beautifu I found it in product hunt. Simple, pretty, simple, simple. Very good app. One nice improvement would be to be able to take pics directly
Great app Love the design but I was wondering why do you need access to contacts?
So Far So Good Love how simple and easy to use this app is. Just add a markdown editor and you are good to go.
