It is a nice app. But it has two major problems. It started losing GPS signal after newest updates. I know signal is excellent because I can use other programs fine. Also, I need to use it in landscape mode and you can't even enter to settings in landscape mode. I made a web search about this and it seems like this is the reason why many switches to another app. I don't quite understand why a gps app wouldn't work at landscape mode. Because that is usually how most people use them afaik.
This used to be my 5* go to app for both offline and online navigation. Until a year or so ago. But the maps in my area still display old shops/ landmarks from a year or more ago. Also the green circle on pedestrian navigation is nowhere near the blue line of the route to take. It used to be bang on the line and stayed there without drifting. Finally, when driving, the arrow seems to lag and is always slightly behind where your vehicle actually is. It's very easy to pass turnings as they appear just as you are passing them. Hope these issues can be addressed.
This is a very good app.. I'm waiting for it.. I hope that there is an option on it which can import location (favorites - collections) from an old phones' nokia map ( ovi) through Bluetooth. I have a Nokia 808 phone with nokia map, but l cannot transfer my collections to this app by anyway.. I got a message,, Here WeGo has stopped,, after I logged in with Facebook. I can't run the program. I have Sony Xperia Xz Premium. What can I do?
I discovered this app when it was "HERE maps" and been using it since then. I love the speed limits most are correctly displayed and the warning if I go over the limit. I don't like getting penalty points or paying fines. . . If I miss a turn most of the time "HERE" recalculates another route quickly. . . I also like the hills displayed in bicycle option. Thank you for a wonderful app. BTY over time some of the updates have failed to work or have been faulty or work for a while and then fail while driving. So then I reinstall a version I know works from my backups, after turning off auto updates in play store. It is a pain to get it working again. ( I should not do updates however I get curious to see what's new with next update.)
I used the old Here (formerly Nokia) maps on Symbian devices for many years and was always very happy with it. OK, the maps are not the most detailed, but whole countries can be downloaded in advance and no data connection is needed for navigation. The only thing that stops me giving 5 stars is the lack of street names in the voice directions. This was available in previous versions, but no longer appears to be available.
Great app and happy to use it but unfortunately cannot rely on it. The maps are not up to date, when navigating through traffic in Melbourne often experienced to be guided in violation of road rules e. g. like turning right where no right turn is allowed.
