On opening my local area I found that many of the places of interest (Restaurants, Take Aways etc) were way out if date. For example the Police Station closed and moved at least 15 years ago. Many others were closed or changed names over 5 years ago. This gives me a low confidence feeling about the accuracy of areas which I do not know as well and ultimately will the app be useful? There ought to be more regular checks on the existence and location of such places of interest.
This is everything I ever wanted. It’s been a life-saver to me in countless number of occasions when most other competitors, even the big names, failed. For beginners, it has excellent off-line map with accurate information (at least in Canada). Its GUI is amongst the best in any similar app I’ve tried in this category. It gives you plenty of notices ahead of time before critical turns, whereas with the major competitors I’ve missed many turns almost every single time I drove a highway. All in all, this is one of the best offline maps in the market, hands down.
I really like this app as an alternative to google. It takes a few days to get used to it. My only problem right now is that the train navigation has stopped completely for DFW, Texas. It comes up with an error code saying "Off The Tracks". It could be an issue with DART not updating their routes, but, would be helpful if this was fixed. Other than that, this app is great. Thank you!
Wonderful! Once I was an avid supporter of Waze. Which is useless for walking and lacks downloadable maps (very important when abroad). But the worse thing about Waze is its irrelevant search results. For example when I enter "subway" or "eat" I need the closest station or eatery to my current position and not some random results.
Used it in the Lumia, but here in the Android it is not that awesome. Okay, I have an option to download maps, but why the whole country?! I mean when it starts to suggest me to download a whole country, then I can't tap and choose the specific parts of India. I have to close the app first and start it again and then it stop suggesting, so that I can choose according to my convenience. Though a state is the only option, because there's no option to choose a city but that still is useful! But please add more options to choose from! And here's a suggestion, if the app could have the HERE live-sight AR feature(just like it used to have in lumia), Then it would become the awesome!
The app works fine and has an clear design (I think). But why the f*** can I not find the downloadbutton for the offline-maps of Japan, China and Co? Perhaps I am just a bit retarded but please give me a hint or something where they are? Could need those maps..
Better performance and reliability to make getting around even easier.
