Turn based squad games are great and there aren't enough. Combine that with an interesting and we'll developed setting and you get something really good. Then there's the card mechanic, which is new to me but it gives another dimension... I'm enjoying figuring that out by trial and error. Finally it's all pretty slick and seems robust, so it deserves credit for that too. Only negative is the slightly aggressive upselling.
Captures the bleak universe of 40K well. Deckbuilding is a little clunky, but not bad. I like the loot and reward system more than in most games. I highly recommend downloading if you're a 40k/fantasy fan or enjoy games like final fantasy tactics. If you get this game, you can play alright for free, but its a grind for stronger cards. I paid 24.99 for the technician dude, used the creds that came with him to get the Terminator and Scout characters and alternate decks. I plan on getting the 2nd campaign for sure. I'll probably go ahead and get the legendary version. After that, I'll feel good about supporting a great game and will have a good base to grind cards with.
This is a pretty good turn-based 40k strategy game except instead of having set equipment for each mission it uses "cards" to semi-randomize what gear you have available at any point in time... like each marine is carrying a class specific loony tunes warp bag. This and the tiny squad size (3) are the primary negatives.
I really love this game and I'll still give it the five stars it derives. I played it a long time ago and now I'm back and still enjoying. The amount of money you gain though is still irritatingly low. I assume people with low internet simply have to replay previous levels to go further with the campaign. 😕
I like the game. Its very addictive and engaging. The problem is that even though i have played money, i still can't get past mission 3 on map 4. There is a ridiculous amount of enemies which i have spent days trying to beat. How can i beat this level?
Great game, have played on both iOS and Android. Really annoyed that the most recent update deleted all my commander's upgrades, removing scout and terminator decks and builds for no reason. Poor showing if it is part of the update.
The Warhammer 40,000 universe just turned 30, right as Space Wolf turns 3 years old!
