Much Improved, but few features It doesn't crash as often as before, and at least it's more responsive and actually feels like a real app instead of a 2007 mobile web browser wrapped in a yellow bow. But you still can't see or manage your account, and any attempted changes to an existing reservation just cancel the reservation instead. Found that out the hard way and ended up paying twice as much upon landing during a convention week.
Unable to reserve on points I booked a leisure rental and indicated I wanted to pay using points. Even though I had thousands of points available for my one day rental the final screen still indicated I was paying the full amount for my car rental and it had my company's CDP instead of the one for a rental booked on points. Hertz should change the process tree so that the next screen that opens when the points option is selected, is the screen where you choose how you will use your points. It is not common sense, as the process stands
Not good Pretty useless. Terrible port of a bad website. The minimal effort this company put into both is exemplary of the low regard in which Hertz holds its customers. Unfortunately the app is necessary, if you actually want to throw away your money renting from this company.
I like that it uses number pads, but several features are not user friendly. It does not allow me to update my gold profile ( had to do in browser), it is a hassle to go through list of airlines for arrival info.
Not that great I can view my reservation, but even though given the option to modify, I have tried, but keep on being sent back to the beginning. It freezes and crashes frequently.
It is pretty bad It feels the app was developed 10 years ago with no focus on user experience. You have these long drop lists of options, it loses your searches if you go back and it's impossible to update personal info. It's a dog!
