Perfect and easy to use The best flashlight app I could find, especially for having a simple light switch on lock screen. No ads and no shady permission demands whatsoever. Thank you so very much! (However, as I now have a flashlight button on my notification panel, this app has become somewhat obsolete for me.)
Why isn't this 5 stars!!?? This is so much better than ANY flashlight app you'll ever get! It says no ads but there really is NO ADS! It also has a handy widget that comes with it. The only things I wanted from a flashlight app was a widget, no ads making the flashlight slow as hell and the ability to control it from my lock screen is a great bonus. This app doesn't lie.
Best Flashlight app No ads and can have flashlight icon stay available in swipe down menu as well as app icon for a screen flashlight make this the best one I've used. Simple, accessible, gets the job done, and I don't mistakenly tap an ad. Light will also stay on when screen is off.
Does exactly what is expected of it This app works exactly as stated. No ads, no questionable permissions. Best of all this app overcomes the problem of the flashlight turning off when the lockscreen is activated, ie when the flip cover is closed. Not even the built in flashlight app could overcome this issue. Well done! Also I love the shortcut in the notification area. Just a winner all round.
This is by far the best flashlight app available for Android. Only one permission (camera) which is needed for the app to work. Zero unnecessary permissions or ads. This app is perfect.. Great job dev! Miss the old app icon but big deal.. It doesn't affect the usability and I know the trend is more towards flat design now. But as far as a flashlight app goes, it doesn't get any better than this.
Very nice. Several useful ways for turning the light on, and it works even when display turns off. Also there are no unnecessary functions, the program simply does what it is supposed to do and does it good. Having no ads or cripplings is also a great plus. The only thing I don't like is high priority of the notification icon - it's always present on the notification bar, wasting precious space for more useful icons. That's unnecessary, you should make the icon low priority so it actually never shows; the only important part of the notification is the list entry used to turn the light on. Please fix that and you get five stars from me!
Version 2.0.1 - 2.0.3:
• Increased compatibility
• Bug fixes
• A notification is shown that allows you to turn on the light. This can be set to always visible, never visible, or only visible at the lock screen. This requires a new permission (start when Android starts) to show the notification as soon as your phone turns on, before you open the app.
• Setting to disable shutting off the light when the screen turns off
• Theme support
• Support for several new languages
