Not working correctly on android Marshmallow / S7 Used it on my previous Android phone and worked OK. But not working on new versions of Android. Can see the WiFi but can't connect via the app. Error - Android would not let us save the changes.
Just wanted to address a problem that some people experienced with this app. Like some others, I was ready to conclude that the app doesn't effectively blacklist certain APs. Initially, my phone didn't so I was really disappointed. After some poking around, I found that if you altered an advanced wifi setting on your device, the blacklisting function will work. Specifically, the advanced option entitled "Avoid Poor Connections" must be checked. Apparently, this allows this app to flag (blacklisted) APs so that your device won't try to connect to them. So if you encounter a problem, try making a change in the advanced settings on your device.
Works fairly well, although there's no way of telling it to give priority to 5GHz networks over 2GHz if they have the same SSID. Can't handle EAP-type logins (Eg: Eduroam, where a username _and_ password) are required) It'd be nice if this could be added.
This is really useful. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because XFinity is all over town and even though I have the default drive-by setting, it still tries to connect, and it triggers a notification sound even though the notifications for WiFi Ruler are disabled. And then when I try to modify the connection to dead/I_hate_you, the popup says that Android won't let it happen.
I dont understang how to use it Please tell me how to use this app and get connected to secured network
Awsome Working good so far. Got rid of that stupid xfinity ad, for one thing...
