Notifications? My 6-person house is still in a test-phase for this app. It looks great, but what about notifications? I didn't see anything in settings and I'm not getting anything when my roommates make changes. We need to figure out a good chore system asap. Can Homeslice come to the rescue?
Not usable due to date errors Problem 1 - due dates are ignored when inputting. I keep selecting 6-30-16 only to have the app switch that to 6-29-16. This breaks it without anything else. But problem 2 is that the due date is permanent. Updating the item does not change the due date. These coupled together mean that when the app changes your due date, you cannot manually correct it and have to re-re-input the entire task.
Needs improvement Does not allow us to mark a task as compete, no push notifications so nobody knows when to check it, needs more user friendly interface. You guys could be the best of the best, we need apps like this out here but we need them to function properly.
Confusing. Doesn't work. Buggy. I don't even know how to use this app now. What happened to the "slicing"? How do I mark a chore as "needs doing"? Sure, the app looks more modern, but it's not intuitive anymore. UPDATE: I finally figured out how to set a task and complete it...kinda...the task marks as complete but stays in the past due section on the to do side. How do I get rid of it?!
Great home management app Homeslice could be the perfect home management app, but the newest version has a few small bugs. Whiteboard is just a group message, and works well. Chores is fantastic! It can be one time or recurring, assign people to the task, and is simple. Please don't change chores any more! The supplies section is a bit more problematic right now. It is just a long list of things, noted as either in supply or not. This is decent, but currently has a significant bug where you cannot move a supply to "needed".
Needs Notifications/Confirmations There should be notifications regarding completed tasks, added messages, etc. It makes it difficult to remember to check the app when there is nothing to remind you. Also, maybe a confirmation from the other roommates that the chore has been completed, instead of just letting it swipe off by anyone. Perhaps you could also add in a printable receipts function to ease the money handling situations. A big problem is the "He said/She said" bit that could be remedied with a few extra features.
