Got a new phone and redownloaded the app. It took some trial and error to get it to recognize the new phone and app but eventually did. It's much better than the old app. Much smoother and functional. I really appreciate them listening and responding to customer feedback. This app doesn't fail all the time like the last one.

I'll come back and update this review if anything changes, but for now, this is the best smart home type app I've used. Mainly, it's not glitchy or slow, setup was easy and quick, everything works well, and its been quite responsive/fast to update. My only complaint is that my thermostat said to install the Honeywell home app, which lead to a moment of confusion, but that's more on the thermostat firmware being outdated.

This app is subpar and definitely inferior. The geofence feature is why I bought this thermostat and it doesn't reliably work. When it fails to work properly I have to restart the phone uninstall and reinstall the app and reconfigure the Wi-Fi. It's annoying to have to do this frequently. It should be set up once and continue working in perpetuity. The app needs a serious overhaul so that it can deliver on the services it provides reliably. I would encourage customers to look for other services.
