free trial aside, this app is fully paid and there are no features you can access without a subscription. Which sucks, the app is really good and helpful but the subscription is very high and for students using the app it just doesn't help plus atleast some features could be kept free but everything is blocked so now the app is good as nothing for me ... Also sometimes the notifications get really annoying and could serve as a trigger as well, even the posts are fake and it's so obvious.

personally i'd prefer a less overstimulating UI, making it more minimalistic. perhaps a lite version. but the only thing i would add is the timer (eg: how many days, hours, minutes, seconds nc has been ongoing) & a widget on my device. this would help me significantly

you can't do much after a long time because you have to buy their premium stuff to keep writing. it sucks
