Excellent app for mobile banking After the most recent update my app was rendered useless as it would not allow me to log in anymore. I simply Uninstalled the app then reinstalled it and now everything is good, just a note for anyone having similar issues. Great app for mobile banking as it allows me to check my balances on the run and now even allows me to make mobile deposits by simply snapping a picture of the check I wish to deposit, keep up the great work!
Adequate but ought to be better Does simple tasks but really limited when compared to the breath of features offered by competing bank apps. Seems rather incongruous relative to it's size & customer base of HSBC. At very least, for the many accounts which are multi currency, provide the total amount held in ALL accounts in the local currency...just as the website does. Simple yet very necessary change.
One of the least user friendly apps out there This app is the clunkiest one I've ever used. I mean, make it easier for your customers. Just because I don't use it for a couple of days, why do I have to log in multiple times to use it? No other banking app that I use does that. And this one has multiple passwords. One time, I hadn't used the app for about a week or two and I had to log in 5 times as the app said I had been away for a while. So frustrating. For a global bank, you sure have fallen behind the times with regards to technology.
Constantly Freezing This application is the absolutely worst one I have ever used. It is virtually unusable due to constant freezing during its use. I use Lloyds and NatWest apps on the same phone and get no problems whatsoever. I especially hate the HSBC app because it freezes up during my money transfers. I am filing an official complaint with HSBC for employing unscrupulous developers to maintain this app.
Worst banking app around Terrible app. Requires 2 passwords when all other banking apps now can be accessed by a quick pin. Also still full of bugs thinks you are still logged in each time you go into it even though you logged out correctly. Therefore you have to put your passwords in 4 times. Will be paying out credit and closing account asap just to avoid the app.
Possibly the most poorly designed banking app ever The app itself looks like it was made to run on Android 2.3. On top of that, the 'fast balance' feature hardly works the first time (and it isn't fast at all). That's the general theme of the app too, with ridiculous waiting times. Overall it's a very bad app for mobile banking 👎
