BROKEN Does not work properly since recent update and simplified log in. Useless until fixed.
The app has basic features that work slowly but consistently. A number of changes are needed though! 1. Implement Material Design so that it feels like an android app, yes this will require a rewrite of a lot of UI code but it will be worth it as the app will actually feel good to use. 2. Add fingerprint support as in IOS. Its been a year now and still nothing for Android users. 3. Let me pin more than 3 accounts to fast balance and implement a fast balance widget for my homescreen. 4. Drastically decrease load times by caching data and stop logging users out every time the app is kicked out of memory.
Excellent app for mobile banking After the most recent update my app was rendered useless as it would not allow me to log in anymore. I simply Uninstalled the app then reinstalled it and now everything is good, just a note for anyone having similar issues. Great app for mobile banking as it allows me to check my balances on the run and now even allows me to make mobile deposits by simply snapping a picture of the check I wish to deposit, keep up the great work!
Adequate but ought to be better Does simple tasks but really limited when compared to the breath of features offered by competing bank apps. Seems rather incongruous relative to it's size & customer base of HSBC. At very least, for the many accounts which are multi currency, provide the total amount held in ALL accounts in the local currency...just as the website does. Simple yet very necessary change.
I use this app quite often and I'm ok with the general functions, it does as it should. But recently I downloaded Android Pay and this app has stopped working. I can't access my account and I just get a warning message saying there isn't internet connection (This is both on wifi and 4G) I wanted to know if this was an issue with this app, or if its an issue on my side. Thanks.
One of the least user friendly apps out there This app is the clunkiest one I've ever used. I mean, make it easier for your customers. Just because I don't use it for a couple of days, why do I have to log in multiple times to use it? No other banking app that I use does that. And this one has multiple passwords. One time, I hadn't used the app for about a week or two and I had to log in 5 times as the app said I had been away for a while. So frustrating. For a global bank, you sure have fallen behind the times with regards to technology.
I have account with TBS and Barclay as well . All of them use very simple and user friendly application which need to inter just 5 or 6 digits pin to log on account,everything very simple. But HSBC app. is very difficult to log on and if we forget password then account will be locked and need to call customer service. Customer service agents are helpful but it takes long time to follow and do instruction to unlock account. If we need to factory reset phone and install app. again we should do long steps to activate account to access. This app needs completely change ,it make mobile banking painful.
