Review from David Leviev
Eh I waited two years for this app and the wait was not worth it. It's the same annoying login as their website. If you're on your desktop its alright but its terribly annoying on a mobile device. Also, it doesn't show any pending charges on credit accounts or upcoming credits on checking/savings accounts. Not surprised, this bank has been behind and still refuses to catch up.
Works great for checking balance and transferring money between accounts. However thats all there is. There is no way to search or sort transactions or setup new payments. And overall the design, layout and quality is very poor for such an important application by a large bank. I use the barklays mobile app and that is far more feature rich alon with a better layout. Its a shame as the app does the basics right but is somewhat usless unless you are transferring money to people youve previously transferred money to or checking your balances.
One of the worst apps for mobile banking. Never lets u login despite providing valid credentials. Gives some technical error 9/10 times u try to login. U can't transfer ur funds from ur account to credit card instantly. It's takes 2-3 days for the amount to get credited to ur card. Being an internal customer, I will not recommend this app to anyone.
Why do you have to make online banking complicated? I am required to remember so many different information that makes it easy to 1. Get confused 2. Get locked out because I've entered the wrong information too many times. Plus, there's not a lot I can do without having my mobile to hand. Unreal.
What is wrong with this app. 1. No way to transfer between yoour current account and credit card. (I still can't believe it) So people don't get a credit card and a joint account. With hsbc and expect easy transfer. 2. No finger print recognition for android. (And there is for Apple) So I am forced to use the digital secure key. 3. The set up is difficult and not user friendly. These are the basics. And it's bad when Tescos, post office, Argos, Natwest, are ahead on the tech usage.
Absolute rubbish...., look at the othet banking apps and learn from them....sorry but I will be moving to another bank. When at work i can transfer money to another account like a friend or family, so i have to do telephone banking which costs, waiting in the line for at least 45 mins....and they have the cheek to tell me to use the app....thats all
Update: switching my bank account because I can't use this stupid app to do my banking. It won't connect using mobile data, only using Wi-Fi, so doesn't even open the app. Most annoying banking app out of all the ones I've used. Need to take a leaf out of Barclays' book!
