Review from Lucas Brunner
I have it for a few months. I have not had one update. Pure money grab. It stops syncing with the only app that is allowed. I could not be more disappointed support wise then any other product I have bought. They better wow me when they actually do an update. I will refuse to buy any of there products or refer them to anyone until then.
The app it's okay, but making some of the fictions of mainstream fitness trackers. The problem is that after update the watch got disconnected and there was no other way to connect it back to the app, apart from factory reset, which caused partial data loss in the app and full data loss in the watch. The fact that the app and watch doesn't have reconnect option is bizarre and stupid. Addition - after update and hard reset, and data restore from the cloud the watch wasn't recording heart rate continuously and wasn't sharing data with the app. Had to reset one more time, but skip data restore from the cloud, which lead to complete data loss for this day and I had to restore all of the settings.
I really just love this watch. For me the oval design is very attractive and smart. Buying an extra band (brown leather) has made this watch look very smart indeed. I've had no issues sinking my phone HTC one m7 to the watch. I know an old phone. All the functions on the watch seem to work perfectly. Have gone for a run outdoors, on a treadmill and walked. GPS is very very accurate. It's great that you can see your route on the app, Google map. Looking forward to using it for cycling soon. I like the fact you have an array of watch faces to choose from. I do wish however if you could add your own watch faces, there are some cool ones out there. Heart rate seems to be pretty accurate, when comparing it to the tredmill heart rate it was slightly elevated. Notifications are fantastic. I have my texts and phone calls pushed through. The fact you can't answer or reply back is not an issue for me. Battery life is good. I have used the sports mode about 5 times and played around with it as you do when you first get anything new and it lasted just over 2 days. As the novalty wears off can expect the battery to last considerably longer. Overall my first leap into a smart watch has been a pleasant experience.
I use this app with the amaze fit pace watch. The company really support there products in the couple months I've had it the firmware has been updated adding many new features and the app has been updated many times adding major new features each time. It shows all the sports activities you have undertaken including maps and hr along with detailed continuous HR data, and sleep tracking.
Can't change temperature unit to Celcius. Still uses Mercury freezing temps as basis unit. Well, we are in Renaissance period after all.
Used to work fine. But all of the sudden about 2 days ago the weather stopped working. I cannot set a location... And therefore cannot sync the weather
I think it's a work in progress. Absolutely NEED Google fit syncing (and others!). Would be great to be able to manually edit sleep duration as well in case it fails to record it for whatever reason (just like in Mi Fit). Would be great to take more after Mi Fit all in all, to be honest.
