Introducing Huawei Backup:
Never lose your data again. Backup allows users of Huawei devices to easily save an extra copy of their data,including contacts, SMS and MMS, call records, apps, media files, and more to a storage device or to the cloud.
Backup includes support for 79 languages, including Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and more. It supports devices running EMUI 4.0 and later.

Backup lets you:
• Back up your personal data, including contacts, SMS and MMS, call records, system settings, alarms, browser bookmarks, email accounts, Calendar events, Weather, Clock, and Music.
• Back up your apps, including app data such as accounts.
• Back up your media files, including photos, videos, and recordings.
• Encrypt your backups for greater security.
• Save your backups to memory cards, USB drives, or the cloud. Some device models support backing up to network-attached storage or Huawei Back-up.

What\'s new:
Selected devices can now back up to network-attached storage (NAS) and Huawei Back-up. You can also make automatic backups to NAS, Huawei Back-up, and memory cards now.

Ratings and reviews

If you, like me, think that when it backs up apps that it also remember the settings, you'd be mistaken. If you backup you photos to the cloud, like I do, then this app doesn't really serve a purpose. Edit: Not to mention that now I cannot even restore the backup as I get an error on the computer: "The Backup app is running on your device. Close it and try again". Needless to say, closing it does not help.

To all users. Do not update to any version greater than 9. You will be forced to use encryption. That is not an option. (Use encryption, forget password, useless backup). The app does not backup everything, Smart Remote for example. I had to stick with the latest version of 9 series. Otherwise the application works great for me.

After having to change to another phone this year, I realized that all my backups from 2019 and 2020 have errors or incomplete data. That never happened before, with that version when the program icon was still there. I trusted you and you made me loose so much important data! Older version was better. Even Android itself.
