Just ok The only app I found that I could use to stream myth recorded content to my tablet. The UI needs work. Very difficult to fast forward and rewind. No commercial skip. Confusing UI. No apparent way to see live streams.
Great potential, streaming won't play htc evo 4g lte Not sure what the problem is, bs player free opens but says nothing added to queue. Flashes the menu prompting whether to keep or delete the steam before bs player opens. Maybe an issue with the htc linkify or multitasking quirks. Gonna try on cmx next. Great interface so far!
Works well This app works great for me, but only after I read the developers web site where he describes how to debug problems with mythtv-backend. In my case my mythTV backend was not compiled with x264 support. After fixing that the app worked without problems. Those people giving a low rating should investigate their mythTV setup first. When I used VPlayer to play the content it would stop after about 30 secs, but MXPlayer worked OK.
Not bad, but missing consistent functionality I put this on my phone so the kids would be able to watch some TV when needed. While I have gotten this to work successfully on occasion, I cannot depend on it. What I do like is the ability to select resolution type - much more bandwidth friendly thant myth web, which is not intuitive and is clunky IMO. This, however, is spotty and crashes sometimes for no reason. Currently am running fe 13.10 with most recent major release of mythtv. System connects but is not able to stream due to some java I/o error.
Not bad at all Using on a HP Touchpad which shouldn't even have androind running on it. Currently running Cyanogenmod 9 ice cream sandwich and with BS player and this app all is working well. Even works over SSH if you forward the correct ports. As for adding scheduling recording etc, mythweb already does that perfectly well for me.
Works perfectly I've been using it for several versions now on Gingerbread and it has always worked perfectly for me. I use BSPlayer for streaming. The auto discovery is an excellent addition. I can't wait to see what gets added in the future. Well done!
* New preferences options to control how much of the stream is created on the backend, and how long to wait before the player is launched. This should help with lower powered backends that are taking longer to create the stream
* Added progress bars with status information when communicating with backend to help track down any further issues
* Preferences menu now available on every screen, to make it easier to test different settings
* Can now play recordings with spaces in the filename
Video Player (VLC) with new added features: IPTV Playlist and Google VR.
