DaTuner converts the fundamental frequency to the nearest note and error in cents for quick and easy tuning of your guitar, ukelele, violin, bass, cello, mandolin, piano, harp, saxophone, Ducati timing belt, harmonica, kazoo, you name it.
DaTuner's display is easy to read; nearest note and octave is displayed in a giant, easy to read font in the center of the screen, and frequency in hertz plus error in cents is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Sensitivity is auto-adjusted, but can also be adjusted by touch via a bar on the left-hand side of the screen, and the speed/accuracy of the algorithm and the relative frequency (if other than 440Hz) can be adjusted via the configuration menu.
There is no "dead zone" with this tuner app as is the case with many other apps. Instead, the whole display turns green when the incoming frequency is within a configurable range of the target frequency and you can still see small changes in pitch even within the "in-range" area. Both the "in-tune" range and the colours shown for sharp and flat can be configured in this version.
Screen and filter lock allow you to select the note that you would like to tune to, with filter lock ignoring anything outside of the range of the note you wish to tune, which is useful for tuning in noisy environs.

AudioTool FFTs sets of samples recorded at the microphone. Aliasing reduced by Hann windowing. SPL calculated in realtime. Spectra may be saved as files on the SD card, then loaded and displayed with the live spectrum. The "Store" button stores the current live spectrum - "Load" shows a list of stored spectra to select.

The deciBel meter uses IIR filters and exponential averaging to calculate Flat, A and C weighted response at speeds of Fast, Medium and Slow speeds.
A pair of cursors can be shown on the RTA and Chart Recorder displays: each can be moved to any position, and will display the SPL & time/frequency values there. Initially, both cursors are positioned mid-screen - simply drag them to a new position with the fingertip. The cursors can be turned on and off in the Menu.
The loudspeaker polarity checker can be used to check whether a loudspeaker is wired in phase: connect the AudioTool output to the speaker under test, select "Polarity" from the signal generator screen, then return to the RTA screen. If the speaker is out of phase (polarity reversed) AudioTool will show "Pol ---", otherwise "Pol +++" if the speaker is in phase.
The Noise Criteria (available from the Menu) function shows a set of NC contours overlaid on the 1/1 Octave RTA display and the calculated real time current NC value is also shown.
The Chart Recorder shows a moving trace of the SPL measurements over the last few minutes.
RT60 measurements can be made by starting the RT60 component using the "RT60" button, and then using a loud clap (or similar) to trigger the measurement. RT60 can also be used with Pink Noise from the AudioTool generator. RT60 times measure how much reverberation or echo there is in a room or auditorium.
The Signal Generator generates White and Pink Noise, Sine, Square, Triangle and Ramp waves, Sine Wave Sweeps and Impulses. The generator uses multiple cycled buffers, refreshed randomly so ensuring truly random White/Pink noise. Pink Noise algorithm uses Kemmet's method to adjust White into Pink.
The frequency accuracy of the generated periodic signals is typically around 1%. Sine wave fidelity is good throughout most of the audio range. Other signals' leading and trailing edges show ringing and decreasing frequency response artifacts in the upper ranges, depending on the Android used.

I have a fascination with brainwaves and the idea that an external impulse can modify the carrier wave of your EEG. Obviously, this is not far fetched (a fist in your face will affect your behavior as well), but that an appropriate sound has the ability to systemically affect the working of your brain fascinates me.
When I looked around for brainwave generators, I found very few useful programs, mainly because the generation of a binaural beats requires the generation of two frequencies. One at, for instance 440 Hz, which is played in the left ear, and one at 444 Hz, which is then played in the right ear. If those two waves were superimposed, one would hear a 4Hz beating. However, when these waves are presented to each ear individually, the brain must process the difference and will start working at 4 Hz.
Of course, who wants to listen to a pure tone at 440 Hz ? I don't, and I cannot believe that such a dry tone would be the most efficient method to synchronize the brain. Consequently, I made a program that should offer the better brainwave: Cryosleep.
Cryosleep lets you play an MP3 of your choice, but will modify the left and right channel such that various parts of the spectrum cancel out X times per second (E.g: 4 Hz,, 7.5 Hz, 10 Hz...). Thereby generating a binaural beat, which for lower frequencies is able to entrain the brainwave.
To use the software, open a song, dial the slider to the brainwave-frequency you want, put on the headphones and enjoy the trip. For a real good mediation, open a track by Klaus Schulze (My Thy She or the Rhodes Elegy, both are about an hour), set the brainwave at 7.5 Hz, kick out your shoes, lay down on the couch and see what happens.
Cryosleep supports Delta: 0.5 to 4 Hz; Theta: 4 Hz to 8 Hz; Alpha: 8 Hz - 13 Hz and Beta: 13 Hz - 21 Hz.
Delta waves are high amplitude waves seen in deep, non-REM sleep. It is the standard mode of operation for babies, is located posteriorly in children and frontally in adults. At this border, the creative power of our mind begins as we are conscious of our surroundings while our body is in deep relaxation. This allows us to (re)create our reality in our mind.
Alpha brain waves are present during light meditation, when we are in a relaxed state, daydreaming or visualizing.
Usually when the eyes are closed, the brain switches to alpha. It is an optimal place to program the mind for success and it also heightens your imagination, visualization, memory, learning and concentration.
Beta brain waves are associated with normal waking consciousness and a heightened state of alertness,
logic and critical reasoning. Beta are the brainwaves of our "normal" waking consciousness, of our outward attention, of logical, conscious and analytical thinking.
