Shared grocery lists with built-in freshness windows, plus chores, maintenance, recipes and a family calendar, in one app your whole household can read.
WHAT YOU CAN KEEP IN IT
Groceries and pantry: milk, eggs, leftovers, opened salsa. Scan a barcode to add a product without typing.
Recipes and guides: grandma's pasta, the sitter guide, who to call. One tap adds every ingredient to a grocery list.
Maintenance and upkeep: air filters, oil changes, smoke-detector batteries, the cleaning schedule, a toothbrush. Each job repeats on the interval you set.
Shopping and events: a birthday party, Secret Santa, a camping trip, gift ideas, with a done-by date.
Checklists: packing, moving tasks, errands. Add items, share it, check them off together.
Progress boards: home projects, trip planning, a wedding. Drag cards between columns, from To Do to Done. The chore board adds a points or allowance tally, with no bank account needed.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
Once-opened freshness. Mark an item opened and the app shows an estimated quality window, drawn from USDA FoodKeeper storage guidance for hundreds of foods. Freshness is opt-in, per item, and it pings your phone as the estimate approaches. These dates are quality estimates, not food-safety determinations: follow package and official guidance and discard food when in doubt.
Shared and real-time. Share a list with your household and changes normally sync across connected devices in near real time. Owners, members and view-only roles are enforced by the server, not just hidden in the app.
A calendar the whole house can read. Appointments, deadlines and events next to the groceries and chores, with each event in the colour of the person it belongs to. Only the person who added an event can change it.
Reminders. Freshness windows, due dates and maintenance intervals can reach your phone as notifications, once you turn them on.
Cook mode. Start cooking opens a recipe one step at a time in big type and keeps the screen awake. Timers come from your own words: simmer 20 minutes becomes a countdown, and a timer over ten minutes can still reach your phone after you close the app.
Type it the way you would say it. Write "milk every Tuesday" and it lands as a repeating item, not as three separate fields.
Works with no signal. You can still add an item, fix a quantity and check things off. Those changes queue and go up when you are back.
WHO IT IS FOR
Families: one grocery list, a chore chart with an allowance tally, and a calendar nobody has to ask about twice.
Roommates: a chore board everyone sees, one grocery list, supply restocks and bill reminders.
Couples: one grocery list you both add to, a shared calendar, the bills on a reminder schedule, and a packing list when you get away.
Caregivers: safe foods, renewal dates, supply reorders and a care guide written in your own words, with no diagnosis fields anywhere.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
No ads, of any kind. Nothing appears on your list that your household did not put there.
We do not sell your personal information, and item and list names are used to run the app and nothing else.
No bank logins. Bill and renewal rows are reminders only; no money moves.
The app is free to use.
You can permanently delete your account from the Profile page. If you cannot sign in, mylistresort.com/delete-account explains how to ask us. A one-click JSON export of every list is included.
