Successfully created an account, then linked and verified a checking account. Two days later logged in to transfer money into Movo account and status showed as "blocked due to fraud". It has been over a week and no communication from Movo as to why account was blocked or how to unblock and nothing in the app either. I'm just very grateful I discovered how incompetent they are before I transferred money to them.
The opposite of convenient. Just transferring money to your account takes "5 business days". If the funds have already left the other bank account, what is Movo doing with your money for those 5 days!?! I can't use their card if Movo won't even complete a transfer. Their telephone customer service told me "that's just the way it is". Not with any other financial institution. Putting people's money in limbo is a good way to make your company look like a scam. At this point, I'm not sure it isn't a scam. I'll be closing my account as soon as I can get my money back. I sure hope I can.
Update: The CEO contacted me personally because of the issues I've had. He was very prompt and helpful in addressing all of my issues and concerns. Customer service is very important to this company. Recently, I have had zero issues with the application. Previous Review: I had nothing but issues with this app and account. I've tried loading the card with my debit card, but that didn't work. I contact customer support and receive an email right away saying that debit card loads are temporarily not working and that I can load the account via ReadyLink. I tried loading my card at a ReadyLink location and that didn't work. I called customer service and they informed me that my card was not setup for ReadyLink. That's weird because the card says ReadyLink on it and customer support sent me an email saying I can load the card via ReadyLink. I tried loading card with my bank account; now I receive an email saying my account have been flagged and suspended by risk prevention for loading card with my bank account. Also that once verified it can take 5 business days for my funds to be available. That's odd because the app FAQ says 3 business days. It sad that I have to verify who I am again, after doing so with customer service and being in contact with customer support through email. It's disappointing to have to go through this just to load the card.
Well, I opened this account because I wanted a card to conveniently pay my bills mostly, I thought that was awesome to offer a virtual card instead of or in addition to a physical card, however upon review of the features I noticed no debit or credit or PayPal load option...so I called and spoke with a very nice gentleman who confirmed those services are not available at this time and he had no ETR. I think it is fairly easy to place a message on a website or app to advise customers or potential customers of any upcoming features as well as outages...your company may want to look into that. Transparency and honesty goes a longer way than bait & switch.
I signed up for this because I wanted to make online purchases safely without using my main credit card. Turns out the only way to fund it is via bank and there's no way I'm going through that hassle. I was under the impression I would also be able to fund it from Bitcoin, but that's not an option either.
Needs some tweeking but overall does almost all of what I need. Almost. Checks. Checks. Checks. Family still sends personal checks and I don't want 6 apps on my phone just to mange my money. We need to cash check and cash them cheap. Especially checks for smaller ($150 and below maybe) amounts.
