This is a basic implementation of John Conway's "Game of Life", a cellular automaton created in 1970 which now you can play out on your Android mobile as a live wallpaper as you go through your daily life.
"Life" is a two-dimensional universe where cells situated on a grid live and die based on social factors. This world is governed by 4 simple rules:
1. Any live cell with fewer than two live neighbors goes away. (Loneliness) 2. Any live cell with two or three live neighbours lives on. (Community) 3. Any live cell with more than three live neighbors dies. (Overcrowding) 4. Any empty cell with exactly three live neighbors comes alive. (Family)
From these four rules, a complex and beautiful system emerges as communities live, die, and evolve in order to find an optimal arrangement that allows them to survive.
