It works as described. Weakly detects ferrous metals only as they disrupt the earth's magnetic field. As help file says, will not detect non-ferrous metals like aluminum. Very good at detecting magnets and can be set to vibrate for "high" levels. I am liking what this app developer has to offer.
Just as a joke I downloaded this to find a buried pipe (about 3/4" deep) I was crawling around running my phone on the ground like it was a tricorder and all the sudden the thing spikes! I take my spade and probe the ground and by God, the damn app found the pipe! It tickled me pink! Nice job!
Im actualy speechless the fact it works Wtfff! Tested from keys to lighter to a fork a nail etc always says the same force when i ago above on or another.. I feel like theres a hidden camera lol im super satisfied!
definitely works on LG G4 I was sceptical at first, but sure enough after trying it, saw that it picks up on metals and magnets. even vibrates when its close to a magnet which is pretty cool. nice graph with location pointer too. 5 stars from me because the creator also gives you the option to turn off ads in the app. well done!
Works as advertised on Samsung S5 Very useful app I am a radio amateur and this has proved useful on several occasions. It detects electrical fields in non ferrous metals like copper wire too- very handy.
It'd be interesting if the data could be linked with global users to get an overview of Earth's magnetic field in different locations. But I suppose most phone magnetometer's don't provide very accurate data though it still might be interesting.
0.7.4- bug fixes
0.7.3- More bug fixes
0.7.0 - Added compass-like arrow to point the source of the magnetic field (or at least try to...). Optimization changes. Tutorial (Android 4.0+) when app is first launched. Ads.
Used for vibration when level has reached a set threshold.
Used to save .csv records to SD card.
