A true hero App refreshes based on SSID, I couldn't find a decent windows updater and I rarely need to fire up the Linux box. This app has worked flawlessly with Google's Dyn DNS
Quite brilliant! My new router doesn't support my DDNS server, so I'm using this amazing app on an old 'phone I no longer use to update my IP address when it changes. Only IP address changes are submitted to the server, so it's not buzzed unnecessarily. It's easy to use and really couldn't be any better. I'm getting the pro version of the app soon to support the Dev.
Runs callback! Android provides a callback feature to notify programs of network changes and this updater uses it if you select the option. This means your phone doesn't have to waste CPU cycles (battery life) when nothing changes. Excellent!
Spot on A great app, which is very easy to use. My DDNS provider wasn't listed on the default selections so I contacted Ice Cold Apps and they responded very quickly to tell me how to easily add the update URL and getting me up and running quickly. Really highly recommended.
Good job So far this ddns updater is the best with rich feature. Next update please consider to add feature only update if connect to specific ssid if wifi down and reconnect with check last ip without countdown. That will give user to choice only update with reconnect wifi (mostly caused by electrical down). This will reduce smartphone bat n ram usage because no countdown and not always re update. If you do that your application became perfect...
Flexible This Dynamic DNS Update app is great! Thanks to the configurable URL feature, I could write a simple python CGI to update my Android's LDAP-backed DNS entry. Most other DDNS clients provide only a set of pre-configured services where extra CNAME or other antics are required to resolve the name in a different domain. Thanks for the nice app.
- Added the option to only update when the IP changed compared to the previous update
- Added more DDNS Services
- Added the option to check certificates for secure (https) ddns updates
- Added the option to start the server directly when the app starts (and wasn't running in the background)
- Fixed bugs which should solve stability issues of the servers
- Added the option to save the server settings to the sdcard to prevent removal during upgrades
- and more!
