sftp work but bugs when creating ftp server A) Creating an sftp server works fine although a bit slow, 500kB/sec transfert speed B) Limited to 2 server after that you need to purchase for more C) When creating ftp server we get the round Robbin 1) enter ftp server name and port 2) try to save setting but it says you need to create a user first 3) enter user information, try to save but user information is not saved 4) server information is back to blank, need to enter again 5) try to save setting but say you need to create a user first etc...etc giving 3 stars for all of the above
Does what it says on the tin The SFTP server works for me. I've moved gigabytes of data with it since I installed it. OK, so why not five stars? 1. Setting up public key access isn't actually that hard but it's not really explained. Right now most people aren't going to figure it out and will stick with (much less secure usually) passwords. 2. Media refresh. I use SFTP mostly to move media files onto a Nexus 4 or Nexus 7. I have to run a separate app to tell the Nexus that there are new media files or they're ignored. This could be a button inside the server, it could be done automatically when you shut down the server, or even cleverer (maybe not possible) it could let Android know about each file when the upload is complete. I've added one more star since my original review to reflect (a) it hasn't let me done at all in gigabytes of data over a period of months and (b) it works with IPv6 and that rocks.
Says what it does and does what it says This has become my goto method for transferring files and syncing folders. SMB would be a welcome addition, but I am happy for what it already offers :)
I'm currently testing the free version using an old WM8650 netpad running Android 2.2 in only 256MB of sdram and a 16GB USB stick. I'm impressed.
Best sftp server around Other servers I've used would seem to hang and need to be restarted but not this one.
Great Good idea. Thanks Just 1 problem I can't bind a domain without the server stopping.
- We added the option to add a secure SFTP Server (FTP over SSH)! Set users with their own roots, public key authentication, allow write, stay in root, and more!
