UI is a bit strange, but aside from that, I set it all up, started the server, however I try to login as guest and it seems to not find anything, I get an error (from OSX) saying there are either no shares or I have no permissions. Since I set up a share I'm guessing it's the latter, but I don't see where to set permissions, or user/password, or what the user/password should be.
Excellent app! Incredibly simple to get my Android TV Stick (MK809B) stared with my mac - appeared straight away. Great work!
why suggest wrong default ports?! The program places unusable values in all the port settings, and one needs to "get random port" on each and every one. why? Also, if Windows can't use >1024 ports, why suggest those as the new random port? Saying "not a valid port" in an error message, but not saying which is the offending entry,. doesn't help much. User friendly is not a bad word. difficult so only the "in the know" crowd can use your app won't give you good ratings. (used on a rooted phone)
I wanted to use this for a TV Box. I realise this is probably designed for phones but the interface is ugly and needs improvement. I like simple and straight to the point but ........ The server only seems to work on WIFI which makes it completely useless to me. It sees the LAN port but will only bind to WIFI. The authentication setup is useless as well..... Finally, to actually say "google some answers on how to connect" in a product is just laughable. When the product gets into this century and grows up a bit I may revisit.
Seems to be written by techies for techies I am a simple man on a mission trying to get my HTC One to transfer files effortlessly with Mac OSX. In this quest I read in some posts some had used this software. Sadly I am not familiar with a lot of jargon so phrases like "In this version you can add one server (Samba Server or Dynamic DNS Updater) and three directories per server" leave me with that horrible feeling that they are saying something important but I have no idea what they are talking about. I would say one to avoid if you are a non-techie... I downloaded and although I could pick up how to use something like RapidWeaver for designing my website just by playing around with it for an hour or so .... I could not get off ground zero with this app.
Great...but battery hog. Real bad in user jnterface and documentation. But once you waste 1 hour trail and error and hair loss, you get it going and voila. Works like charm. Update: ITS A BATTERY HOG, MORE THAN THE SCREEN USE. UPDATE2: Transfer between new samsung s4 and Tap pro max speed 300kbps,also intermittent so very slow for larger video files. ..overall useless....uninstall
