The best app I have found in this category /free soft/. There is a desktop version and you can synchronize between mobile and desktop version. The only drawback is that the data can occupy significant amount of space and the app does not support storing data on external card. I use Samsung S5 which does not support adoption of external card space /Samsung states that this slows down the apps/ so I'm running frequently out of disk space.

Great flashcards best app out there for flash cards. Only a few drawbacks, cannot automatically create a reverse deck of another deck and cannot pause a deck. I think those functions are essential especially the last one. For example you are going on holidays during a week, you don't really want to come back to a massive review count when you come back.

Ah-mazing! Yes, you have to make your own content. No, that's not a bad thing. Easy to use, really good interface, and syncs perfectly with ankiweb. My only wish is that you could unsuspend cards in mass. My dream would be if the Japanese support addon could come on here. But for what it is, it's really good at it. The ability to study my flashcards anywhere is phenomenal.

This app will not let me add or import any decks when they are in the appropriate folder. Went to the website for support and there is no way of contact, just given a list of random issues that does not help my said problem.

Perfect ui design, intuitive, reliable and simple but full of features I'm totally happy with this app. It could be an instructive example in the literature how to combine features and usability. I use it for 3 years now everyday for learning japanese, english and other study related things, and I can not imagine learning without it. Same for the desktop application.

Best SRS (Spaced Repetition Software) app. Bad reviews probably didn't get that the app doesn't include any ready-made flashcard deck, so the shared decks are made by users (that's why some may contain errors). There are great shared decks though (at least for japanese I've found great ones), and in any case the best way to use this app would be to make your own flashcards.

A great but complicated app. The app works perfectly fine but using the app is not simple. The gui is cluttered and you can't simply study the flashcards without going through to create a custom study plan. If you're looking for a simple flashcard app this probably isn't for you. However it does work as described if you have the patience to fiddle with the app settings.
Just awesome..! Have been using Anki throughout my CS degree and it's awesome..! Thank you very much for keeping this android version for free..! My wife who also uses anki in her laptop, can't use the iOS version due to the crazy high price. Thank you very much guys, I have not found a bug and this free version works great..!
It's Super Effective! I would not have passed my Spanish final without this app. Period. This app motivates you to start studying earlier (at least for me) and you will pretty much never forget anything you learn with this (for a very long time). The meme thing makes it super easy to remember everything.
Have I missed something ? I read a lot of good things about this app so I wanted to use it to practice my chinese with flash cards. There is very little content and the only stuff I got has some errors in it / poor quality. I assume I'll have to continue my search for a great chinese flashcards app.
Great when you know how it works I haven't had any issues but I can see how it can be confusing for some. The UI definitely needs to be cleaner and a built in way to get shared decks would be very beneficial
Don't support reminder and never pop notification.Wow app, I suggest it to anyone Don't support reminder and never pop notification it would be nice if add such option .It's open source flash card application. I think its best one, I wanna donate to app producers but I don't know how...
Wonderful App Something of a must-have app. Takes a bit of getting used but there's plenty of guidance online should you need it. Great way to learn something new or cement knowledge.
Deck problem I add file to screen as I have made 3 main decks to categories my cards but I don't know how to move files to decks I have created is there any way to do that , I have sentences , Vocabulary and character
Still the best SRS app out there I've been an Anki user for quite a long time now, and I still love it. AnkiDroid is admittedly a bit harder to customize than the desktop Anki but it works fine. It's also nice to have an on-the-go flash card system so I can review anywhere.
Terrific app! Thanks to all who work on it. Two small requests: 1. The language I'm learning uses three fairly obscure characters: ƥ ƭ ƈ. These show up fine on the desktop version, but render as blank spaces or a ? on the app. These misrenders then get synced back onto the database. Is there a chance this could get fixed, or should I go ahead and find alternate characters to represent them? 2. One of the advantages of a mobile app flashcard system is that you can easily create audio flashcards in the field. The current app requires five touches to record audio (+, Add, paperclip, record audio, RECORD). It would be great to be able to do this in fewer steps, though I realize that might not be possible without overcrowding the interface.

Hi Noah, you'll need to use a font that supports those characters:
https://ankidroid.org/docs/manual.html#customFonts Mighty app This app is not only helpful, it's also addictive! I did have an issue: I removed media from deleted decks in Anki desktop, then synced to Ankiweb, then to Ankidroid. For some reason Ankidroid would restore those unlinked media files, so I had to delete all my decks, do an empty cross-sync and start over. Not a big deal being a useful and free app, but I would recommend to anyone with the same issue just to save time if the sync keeps mumping up. Huge thanks to the Dev Team!
Works on my phone, broken on my tablet The app is awesome once I am using it on my phone however once its on my tablet every thing is shown out of place. Got a screenshot if that can help.
Very useful and easy to use Definitely my first recommend when it comes to apps for studying. The spaced repetition really works for me. Besides, I really enjoy the night mode :3
Image occlusion images not opening Ankidroid flashcards made through image occlusion are not getting opened. Solve it immediately
Great, but Notification Problem I love it! But get sick of it not notifying me when cards are on due. I will be appreciated if the app is fixed!
Could not figure out how to download decks Maybe I'm an idiot, but I could not for the life of me figure out how to download even simple math decks. Needs to be much more intuitive.
The function red marked line of duplicated card is not work correctly ( in particular for old added cards, maybe after cards import ) 2. Sometimes cards are not refreshed in the card browser (after adding card)

Hi could you please submit a proper bug report to github with steps to reproduce?
https://ankidroid.org/docs/help.html Can't import decks I have downloaded decks and put them in the correct folder but the import doesn't seem to work. The import starts and skips to 'ok' but the deck isn't visible!

Maybe they are getting imported into the Default deck for some reason? Please post to the forum for more assistance. Cloze Seems to be impossible to set up a cloze function. The manual is for the desktop version, and the option to select what is to be the hidden text isn't available in this Android version. Please try to fix this. Thanks
lots of features I needed an app that would let me register words and their meanings in a certain language with a search feature to use as reference, and this app is perfect for this. The flash card memorisation is just a bonus for me! Great app.
Download right now! If you're looking for an effective study aid, look no further than the AnkiDroid.
plz add windows features such as edit deck, i just can use ankidroid. for example i cannot add blanck in deck with html ! or change color font
Useful I like it so much that i use this every day. It is a very efficient, effective and beneficial app to teach something to someone, but there is a con. It is that there is no reminder in the app, i wish developers would add this feature soon 😉
A Memory Card Program After about 2 years of use I can remember about 3000 words of italian. This only requires about 20 mins every morning. The app works very well, I can confirm that. You need to create the cards using the (free open source) computer program, it is not possible to create the cards using the app. Card creation is the initial part of the learning process, and you end up with cards that you have created for your needs. This flexability is one of the great things about anki. Ability to sync cards is great too.
If I could only install one app on my phone, this would be it! Awesome tool, greatly improves study times and material retention. I reccomend this app to everyone. Other similar apps are good too, Anki is just more complete. If I could give more stars I would. Cheers to the devs for such a great FREE and OPEN source app.
Good, but font problems. It won't display polytonic Greek accented letters at all, just a space where they should be. Otherwise, works great.
Really useful for long term language learning! The beauty of this flashcard is that it gives you the bare minimum. It is perfect for people who want to make their own notes!
Love it. But one bug with volume I want to go through cards at night with no volume. However, with each card, the volume on my phone increases by 1. Hard to get flowing when I have to keep turning volume down every few cards. But great app! Happy to rate 5 with this fixed or some workaround
The very best app I know It's really really well designed, I can add the words to the dictionary wherever and whenever I want great one, needs some improvements
Best way to learn! There's alot of research behind spaced repetition learning and this app along with its bigger brother - the desktop software are the best!
Can't add new decks When I try to add a new deck from a file, it goes around 30 percent, then shows 100 on everything then opens a new, blank window with an OK op option and when you press it, it goes away but no new deck
Useful It's one of my favorite Apps; if you want memories something just use it, it is can help you and you can make your own advance flashcard
Easy Great functionality and works smoothly. Now that it is easily on the go, makes anki very useful. One feature I would like see is the ability to share screenshots directly to anki from gallery. Would make the process of creating flashcards much faster
Progressive Studying Direct port from the desktop version - Arguably the single best study tool for any subject that requires a lot of memorization
