Very good app overall. Liking it. Except the volume is low when used outside/road and even using headset. If the app devs can work on increasing sound gain it would be handy. Another thing is can't get the sound notification to work on incoming messages, but that could be my android handset. But all in all u will love the app, and not faraway with facilities compared to other popular chat apps.

It's been a nice ride down memory lane. I started using ICQ exactly 20 years ago and it's been at least 10 since I last used it. It was impossible to recover my old account. I know that the last time I used it I was able to log in with my old number. But that was when AOL owned it. Did the new owners delete all the old accounts?

What I love the most in ICQ is that you can see if your call is really ringing and that it has well arrived to your contact or not. That's a feature that I've only found in Viber. The best of all the is vibrate on answer. Awesome! If you can add the possibility to disable filters and public chats tab it would be the best.

I really like it overall but the masks while in video chat just won't detect my face! I am very frustrated and disappointed since it worked for me before... Fix this to get the other stars that you deserve.

Very good performance and clarity. The special video avatars are somewhat of a nuisance as they activate automatically by simply touching the screen. Please provide the means of disabling this feature for those who do not want these avatars.

Your suggestion was forwarded to our program developers. I love ICQ! Started using this in 1996-1997. Left my profile dormant for years until recently I decided to reactivate it. How do I add contracts that are already using older version of icq purely to send text messages. I have an icq number from a while back as do they but it wants to send them an invite. I want icq as a messaging app not for video and must be able to send chat messages to play version as my brother refuses to update as the version he has on his PC is ad free

To add a new contact go to the contacts list (second tab) and click on the icon of a person with a plus sign (in the lower right corner).
You can:
1) Find contact by phone number
2) Use the advanced search to search by UIN (ICQ number), name, e-mail, gender, age, country. LED notifications do not work with Android Nougat. I have to check the phone every 5-10 min just to be sure I don't miss anything. All notifications are turned on and priority is given - nothing changes...
Recently ICQ stopped notifying me and my friend of new messages. Changed nothing in setting for this to happen, didn't recently update either. Very frustrating. Please add new emotes existing ones are old and limited. Thank you.

3) there is a small copy of your friend's profile picture under the message - all the posts above are read. The new update its not helping!it became worst..the old version was really really nice i can give 5 stars..but latestupdate was worst no star at all!calls are worst..connecting connecting..pls.How can i uninstall the latest update?

It's really good if you have good Wi-Fi but otherwise super great I can call my friends face timing I usually dont give ratings but if it's really good then yah! Loved the app MUST DOWN LOAD
You better not to require telephone number for registration... many people from dictatorship countries suffer from government censorship... if you tie phone number with account... They might get pursecuted later for whatever they said here... I am in USA... I know a lot of people from China are using this application to form political discussion groups. After the chinese government banned QQ and censored wechat so hard .. but many of them told me they are worried. The corrupted government is going to track them by registered phone number... Since the account was created by confirmation of text through a call center running by the chinese government. If You can change the way account is created... This is a excellent opportunity for the application to stand out
Can you please add a chat search feature to this app. You already have this on the desktop messenger for PC. I would like to search for a word or a topic I discussed with my IM partner a while back.
I have been using this app since 2 years, but i am recently facing a problem regarding images. I am unable to upload my profile picture and story and even not able to send images to friends. As soon as I click the camera button for sending images or for changing my display picture, the app gets closed. Hope you come up with a solution to this

Yours, ICQ It's good app, But it need to delete accounts that not active for more than one month. Because you are looking for friends there are lots of people but no one is online. And most of members are offline from 2015 OR 2016. so plz delet them.

Thank you for your cooperation. dying messenger..to bad you are listening to the big corps saying send them the "your account has been hacked"message.., you do not gain hits you lose clients. ps the sentence shoul be stated our servers, not your account, are you really that dumb, my number is 6 digits, we started you, now you are dying "oh oh" to you then, my account has been hacked my ass anyway, for one my pass was not changed, no added or removed contacts, all contacts known personaly. no waiting messages saying spam, so whatbthe hell you SLANDERING ME because litrally thats what it is in your words.

Works fine but can hardly hear the ring tone and miss all my calls. Doesn't look like you can change the ring tone settings ... Seems only message tones can be changed...
App uses close to 1GB background data last month! Missed out several important sms from friends as the messages arrive way too long after my friends sent it bcos of ICQ being very laggy. Unacceptable!!! Unable to save history of chats. No good at all. MY STORIES in the contact Don't recommend installing app.

When it comes to video calls, this app outperforms everything I've tried including Skype. The consistency of quality is quite impressive.
This is my very 1st chat app! Long before all those msns, skypes and others chat plagiarists! Simply the best icq
After update everything is going nuts... speaker turns off and on, camera is zoomed, many bugs, im still using app, but its pain in the ....

Fix the emojis, they jump over the text, plus they look old. I wish you could bring back the old games tho

Voice calls r the best.... video calls as well. But sharing videos is horribly slow :(
This app is really fun expecially if you don't have a phone card that you could video call your friends and family fun you should really download it
